This was my soundtrack to the summer of 84.
I was 11 years old, and just about to discover the metal universe.
The nostalgia is strong.
Absolutt, bror. In the same week my older brother started playing this (on vinyl) my other brother was playing Suicidal Tendencies and hThe Exploited. Within months Bathory Sodom Destruction Kreator were in the vinyl player, being THRASHED TILL DEATH 🤘😡🤘

You're crazy and uninformed . . . for a full year and a half Twisted Sister was the biggest Metal band in the world.
MTV played the shit out of their videos, and they toured major auditoriums all over the planet. Twisted Sister was in the 1% that all other bands wish they were in.
I will say however, that they did fade quick from the spotlight once MTV stopped hyping the shit out of them.

Quite literally one of the best hard rock/heavy metal albums of all time. Saw them open for Maiden on this tour, old Charlotte Colosseum. They stole the show. Turned off all the stage lights and turned on stadium lights during We're Not Gonna Take It - 20K+ people jumping up & down and just going ape shit. Amazing. One of the best live performances I've ever seen. Dee Snider has FEW peers in terms of being a true "front man" who is also an amazing vocalist and lyricist. FIVE STARS

Your crazy dude. I love Twisted Sister. But they definitely did not steal the show from Maiden. Maiden was on the Powerslave tour at that time. One of the biggest live production concerts of that era. Twisted was a warm up band. Always! They really never Headlined successfully. Not for 20,000 seat arenas. They tried to Headline on the next tour. Which was Come Out and Play. It flopped and then they broke up. So don't even say that they stole the show. There's no way!
Btw, I also seen them on this tour. In NY. On Long Island. But only they opened for Dio. The Last in Line tour. Keep in mind this was Twisted Sisters home turf. They come from NY. And even still; they didn't steal the show. And they weren't even up against Iron Maiden.
Don't get me wrong, I love Twisted Sister. But their career didn't last long once they got signed. They just couldn't progress for some reason.
yeah his singing is absolutely great tbh took me a while to realize just how good. trying to sing even remotely similar on stay hungry for example is NOT easy not for a guy anyway haha. this was my very first album i think i was 5 years old and i have loved it ever since.
They DID NOT steal the show at the cow palace when they opened for maiden. Dee got hella booed when he tried to say the place was full of ts fans after someone threw a bottle at him.
That must have been awesome. Two of my favorites back then most music was great back then. Now look at the world we live in🤔😟😷

Twisted Sister was a great band. I especially like their first two albums. Burn In Hell is a song I listened to over and over again. The lyrics are chilling. This album is remastered and not the “original” but still great!

I felt it right away too.
The sound of the original recording had the right feel -- Dee Snider's falsetto completely attacked the high emphasizing phrases, the Guitar on 'Street Justice' and 'Burn In Hell' were perfect as they were!

Yup! Their videos were played on MTV around the clock for a year straight. And Were not Gonna Take It & I Wanna Rock was on the radio 50 times a day. No exaggeration!
MTV once played only Rock videos. There was no such thing as Hip-Hop in 1984.

Stay hungry, no still hungry
IMO, this doesn't compare to the Werman/Workman 1984 version. Whoever mixed this (probably Mendoza) completely muddled the choruses. The leads don't stand out. Obvious differences in the lead vocals unless that was intended.
Seems like a lot of money was spent to prove a point. Sometimes it's better to leave the past where it is and enjoy the memories.
