A testrun of the alternate branch of the Sector Y level. Nothing really new to show here compared to the last few videos other than a real showcase for the Beam weapon.
@@mill2712 It's a mod from freespace 2, which you should definately try if you like space shooters. It's good without mods, and with them you can bring the game graphism up to today standards or nearly
I am really loving the updates that you have been doing so far. And the UI looks a lot better than the last variations. Everything concise clean and easy to understand

Still looking great - cannot wait to play it. Is there any way to make the communication text box partially transparent? Not enough to make it hard to read, but just like 20% transparency in order to make stuff behind it at least visible by outline.

As for now, the Demo 7 is downloadable, but there is no new update (there aren't any new demos, but I still have big hopes for PC gamers to have an opportunity to play their Star Fox game on PC)
I was expecting this to be another awful modern remake but it outshines any Star Fox I've seen since the 64 one. The two biggest drawbacks for me were not having the voices to go with the text (still, better than having bad voice actors do it poorly like the GameCube Star Fox) and the boss repeating old lines of dialog did feel like a bit of a forced re-hash. There was original content here though and some interesting twists so overall pretty good!
I love what I am seeing so far, question though, will there be other allied fighters and not just wingmen? (Not like the giant carriers and frigates but regular fighter ships)
Could you do this without invulnerability? Because I'm finding it basically impossible to deal with the Mora phase of the fight due to being swarmed by the Venomian fighters and the Moras' super-fast laser turrets all at once. The non-Star Fox allied fighters contribute nothing because they never move from their starting position.
I am glad there is a Star Fox game that plays like an Ace Combat game
Though it doesn't feel as fast.
It feels more like Rouge Squadron/Star Wars Squadrons.
Now make a game mode where it's cockpit view and you can have a joystick as the controls. That would be epic!

There are other allied fighters in this video, you can spot some near the intro at about 7 seconds in.
