Prof Mr.Ilber ORTAYLI is the most intelligent person I ever met listen in panels. Turkey is very luck to have this kind of academician.

I wish the moderator were more respectful and stop giving eye to people like a kid making fun of a teacher. That is Professor Ortaylı and that is his style. He is pure academician so unless you are there to respectfully listen to whatever he has to say please do not engage his time cause here we are looking forward to his speeches, and every word of it and in his unique style. Also, please stop waving your hand to his face. Conflict management must have taken away a lot of your refinement, I think.

Although I’m a big fan of Ilber hoca, let’s confess that his way of narrative isn’t appropriate for this forum. When asked a certain question he talks about many different topics,always giving information in pieces skipping from one theme to another. I totally understand his genius, how much historical knowledge he has so he would talk years about any question to the point of getting too far from main topic.))) However,it would be really beneficial if he answered in more generalised way,keeping the answers structured so that everyone can get the issue.

I'd say it's pity, that the title of this video is in German, as well as the description; the language of the discussion is English , though. This might reduce the number of viewers very much, since people from the English speaking world might not open the video expecting a panel in German, while German speakers who are not able to follow the English discussion might be disappointed, too. :/

The asking woman does not understand that you need to know historical facts and processes of happenings to fully understand the mindset and thoughts of one nations people. Ilber Ortayli tries to explain under historical background but the moderator often interrupts.
She was a great moderator and knows west and east.

Such a bad moderator!! If you take many minutes to ask a super hard question including framing and 3-5 sub questions. How can you expect to have an answer less than 3 minutes!?

The elephant in the room has been forgotten and if this elephant will be the ignored in the future, it will grow up and it will became the mammoth, unfortunately the people can get hurt by this situation. So do not ignore the elephant like before happend. And this was not a healty conversation.
The metaphor that has been made you "proud" will never ever is going to happen. You are very much be wellcomed if you wanna work and earn our life honestly be a part of the society. No problems with the Kurdish oriented citizens of Turkey. Turkey is colorful multicultural, multioriented Republic. You have no speciality to demand a single cluster of soil from Turkey. Turkey can feed all of us peacefully. If yor are not interested then it is your choise what else can be said.
