I just did this. With nearly zero crafting ability, I was able to follow the directions and now my new backpack has a much better handle. Thank you so much! (A small hack: I printed off a ruler from the internet since I could not find one around the house. The paper was flexible and it worked great).

Very clear and effective tutorial! The handles on my laptop bag were worn out, although the rest of the bag was in great shape. Now it’s even better than new - a lot more comfortable to carry. Thanks so much for a job well done!!!

Great tutorial, thanks. I had never done this before, but I ordered paracord from a bushcraft supplier, and just did a nice job of wrapping the handle on my Wenger Ibex backpack, which has a 9 inch long handle which is made up of a webbing strap plus a steel wire cable inside a plastic sheath, which together are somewhat thicker than the handle of the backpack in your video. I used 15ft of black MIL-C-5040 Type III paracord, rather than 9ft, to allow for the extra handle thickness, and that worked out perfectly. I had maybe 8 inches left over on both ends when I finished. Perfect!

Watched several videos to make a handle for two different backpacks. Had even considered buying a new travel backpack just because of the skinny handle that becomes uncomfortable standing in airports. This video was super helpful fixing my first world problem and now I have personalized my backpacks. Thanks for the easy to follow step-by-step tutorial.

Awesome, looks easy enough..I’m planning on paracord wrapping the carry handle and the straps on my Camelbak Motherlode...Hell,I may end up wrapping the waist strap too..lol...my thing is,you can never have too much paracord on you when your out in the woods camping,backpacking,etc..the only thing is,I don’t want to lose precious storage space in my bag so what I learned from your video will most certainly be put to good use
