It was not Yorker my dear friend Prince. In fact, they improvised old ball to innovate " Reverse Swing". When reverse swing saw light of the day, western cricket journalist and players alike accused them of ball tempering; especially after Pakistan's successful English tour in 1992, which they won 2-1 for lethal reverse swing of Waqar-Wasim duo.
Paradoxically, when they( western cricketing fraternity) found it useful, ball tempering got replaced by another term " Reverse Swing".
Even today, Pakistani fast bowlers are well-adept to make capital out of old ball, and would defeat any side due to pernicious reverse swing.
Unfortunately, for decades fragile bating line up has been their Achilles hill. Therefore, they are struggling to win a trophy.

I think tape ball cricket and lack pf proper domestic cricket is the reason why Pakistan have been producing good bowlers. Also since most of their successful players are bowlers, so they idolise to become fast bowlers.
Each PSL clubs should run their youth academy and spot young talent and give then training to hone their skills.

After 1980, everyone started copying Imran Khan and a new era started. Now Hanif Muhammed is out of scene and IK charismatic bowling style flourishing. I am Pakistani Bihari and I played under 13 and was selected in top 25 players of Karachi by Rashid Latif and PCB sponsored by Pepsi in 2004 or 2005. I also remained captain of my school team and played college as well. I was a lethal fast bowler with extra pace and I could do reverse swing and inswing easily. At UBL academy, my coaches were impressed with me and the coach of customs cricket academy or PIA academy called me during the match and asked me how I held the grip and I did not reveal.☺ At very early age I liked Imran Khan and fancied Wasim Akram but I started bowling then I considered myself as being Waqar Younus ☺☺ Now at the age of 29 I consider to have happened because of Pakistani cricket romance with fast bowlers and another thing is diet which I always enjoyed of Mutton,beaf and lamb. I never liked vegeies much and still I enjoy beaf and mutton ☺MA SHA ALLAH

South Africa gave Philander, Morkel, Abbott, Steyn, Pollock, Ntini and Donald. Akram couldnt outrank his contemporary Pollock in odis rankings.

Actually India don't have bright history of fast bowlers bcoz of vegetable heavy diet while other countries eat protein heavy food like beef in case of Pakistan and other countries beef and pork which build real good muscles.
