Bad news for our European brothers, the London show is now the last one of the tour, the rest of Europe has been cancelled, press release is below:
"Cradle Of Filth has been working on writing a new album due out in 2020 throughout this year. The band has now decided to really crack down on the writing process, so much so that they're cancelling their October appearances to get it done. The shows affected are ones in Slovakia, Germany, France, and Israel"
That's rather unprofessional and disrespectful of Dani Filth Co. not to honour the tour in its entirety.

@@LETSTALKENTERTAINMENT it's more complicated that this usually, beyond touring, rather it's more contractual agreements and legal/financial repercussions if they don't fulfill those contractual agreements. I.E. record label gives them a deadline to have the studio recording finished by, otherwise they fine them usually in the tens of thousands per day and/or simply unable to reserve a different timeframe at the studio for months away, especially with major labels, where studio time is strict due to a countless of other artist under their brand that have to share those same studios (hundreds of artists, so they'd be booted to the back of the queue if they delay or cancel their allotted studio time which can translate to months to a year away until the next opening).
@@LycanWitch I don't know, man. For an experienced lot this seems to be a rookie mistake due to a lack of foresight in their planning prior to going on tour knowing they had an album to complete. Perhaps I should not get my hopes up for their next release knowing they're jumping back onto the treadmill just to put something out. I thought I read in an interview a few years back that they had created their own record label to avoid this pressure and gain more freedom on how they did music.
@@alexisdiaz6371 CoF doesn't have their own label for album releases, currently are on Nuclear Blast, formerly on Sony Music, Road Runner before that, Music For Nations, etc. Also you need to keep in mind that they had an unexpected delay with the Cruelty and the Beast stuff. This was all suppose to happen in 2018 for the 20th anniversary of the album, however they ran into legal delays, which is why the Re-release of the album got delayed for a year and this concert happened in 2019. So pretty much this delay of this event, pretty much probably ended up interfering with other contractual obligations/timeframes, etc.
So even though CoF may have been around for decades, know the ropes, etc, they are still at the mercy of their record labels and contractual obligations as unfortunately in the grand scheme of things, they are a small time act compared to some of the other artists or flagship acts on these various labels they are currently on and have been on through out their career.

BTW, who is the drummer? It sounds excellent! Because, IMHO, I have always believed that the one who is really almost impossible to substitute right after Dani, is Nick Barker.

That should be Marthus, and yes, while Nick is nearly impossible to replace, Marthus gets pretty close.
Is there no live keyboard player in this performance? At first I thought it was someone aside the drummer but out of camera, but the fellow with the laptop certainly seemed to have started the intro of Beneath the Howling Stars.

Not sure on the stage set up, it's like an 80"s hair metal club, especially for playing this album in its full glory. Dungeon gothic feel with half naked women in cages like the old days would of been a lot better

I didnt know they were still performing old albums. This is great, Dani sounds amazing, only downside is you can tell Barker is not playing the drum. Thirteen autumns is butchered.

The best band my favorite wen I seen them perform in New York almost 20 yr ago I was in the mash just trashing doing the devil dance punching and kicking I never forge wen he pointed at me and say I was the most brutal one me as nd my dark fallen angel full of angers there was just blood a over the floor it was the crazies mash about 200 people mashing ponching and kicking each other with spikes and rings with spikes it was a war the anger and the darkness In me kept on mashing me and my fallen dark angel brothers of 50 it mad me feel good even do there was blood broken noses black eyes from other people we all were brother in hell it was just all pleasure Danny makes me feel good and happy I am only happy in the darkness and wen I feel close to hell

Which camera did you use for filming this?
Infernalord for this gig, an iPhone 8, with a modded sound baffle, and a few (Jailbreak) tweaks, was 1080p @ 60fps - we figured security would take any large camera equipment away, so had to go down this route!! 😂🤘
@@Sheol666 Well done, I only have bigger cameras, but I think I will look into some mod mic for my P10, to make it sound better.

Infernalord hi buddy, I have a friend who’s a sound engineer, he put it together for me - in a nutshell, the camera is covered by a 1cm foam case, with a custom rubber case around that - this is to cut down on vibrations / shaking. Following this the mic was worked on; you know the earplugs you can get for loud concerts? Basically, he got hold of some of the rubber they used, used it to cover the mic - this way, the sound comes thru clear, without having problems with distortion etc. Hope this helps buddy, have a good day 😎🤘

Vika Vika iPhone 8+, with mods to the microphone, and several level adjustments thru the internal software, I wouldn’t recommend trying it if you’re not sure how to do it, if you get it wrong you’ll kill the phone! We also use mic baffles which were made for us by an audio engineer friend, really helps balance the audio, stops “clipping” etc 🤘

As much as Dani's vocals sound pretty good lately, the sound guy should add some delay effects on his high screams a bit. His vocals are way too dry live and it doesn't sound too good sometimes.

Marthus exaggerates with the live arrangements, deforms the song a lot and that is not good, he is an excellent drummer but he should not add so many things to the original composition of Barker, so it is already great and ends up ruining it....
Does he still makes this weird "blast beat" on thirteen autumns? Some time ago I saw another live show and I noticed he made it with both hands like if he's weren't able to blast with just one, don't know the deal there but to me it looked a little cheap

The crowd was so still, it was kind of a weird vibe there. I was trying to get into it but surrounded by people who'd rather be human tripods the whole time lol

The drummer play with the click because of the sample, but Dani rush all the time, its like this since forever but with the click its clear.
@@Sheol666 I'd use 18:10 as an example. Don't get me wrong I love what Dani does, it's inhuman. But yes, there have always been moments when the tempo is lightning speed where his syllables don't track well with the band's riffs. Anyway, there's not another vocalist out there that does what Dani does so i cut him a little slack.
