AWESOME!!! i absolutely LOVE the lore of don't starve and i'm so so so happy this exists. not enough people talk about the lore, but this is a really great showcase of it! it's very well composed and thought out and i love the song as well, it adds so much to the energy of the animatic and fits well. it's making me think about the lore in different ways i didn't before... i also LOVE the shot of charlie at the end. haunting. again this is super amazing!!! thank you for making this!!!
I always though them and shadows were opposing forces, Them being the force inhabiting the moon and the shadows inhabiting the caves and nightmare fuel, both of them bleeding into the surface world as they fight for control in an endless turf war
@@yaboi_nas5568 Maxwell, at the end of Don't Starve, refers to the shadow's as "Them" as well, and didn't seem to have any knowledge of the moon stuff. I think both the shadow's and lunar stuff is "Them", the shadow an eye of darkness, and insanity, and the moon an eye of light, and enlightment. However, I could be wrong. Haven't brushed up on this stuff for a bit.
@@thatoneguywhoworksatjoespl9701 The moon is beloved to be named alter as maxwells examination of the murals in the atrium talk about “to change” “No it’s a name” “alter” As well as the fact that the celestial champion in code is named alter guardian not altar like the crafting stations but alter like maxwells examination of the murals so personally I only call the shadow eye from the ancient gateway “them” as there is no name although “them” is being used to talk about both the moon and darkness but it’s less confusing to me
@@Vasyoknatraktore251 the cane that Metheus hold could be the design for Orange Gems to insert and make it Lazy Explorer but it didn't fit so the acient have to just give the cane back to Metheus as it's mean tge project is scrapped.
this could only be done by someone who fully understands the lore, and as a fellow lover of dst (to likely an unhealthy degree) i say thank you and good job

Finally someone else who sees the similarities between Matheus, Maxwell, Cyclum and Charlie. I thought I was one of 2 people who saw that.
