The chamber was specifically designed to be cramped and adversarial, which is why loads of MPs have to stand, because there's not enough seats for all 650 members. Both sides of the house are baying down on each other which puts MPs under pressure when speaking. When there's really important debates on, it adds to the drama of the occasion.

That's not the point. We're talking about governments' proposed actions that have not come to pass and should depend on a democratic vote, not what has already happened. However, it is worth noting that both of the examples you mentioned were not actions of a democratic government, and instead to use your own words came from 'a leader that excercised his judgement and took an absolute position on the matter'. In fact, your post just strengthened my argument.

Getting killed by chemical gas would be a long and horrible death and is extremely inhumane not to mention the fact that this is proven throughout history that this is a very inhumane death to the point that countries have banned the use of chemical weapons for this exact reason. So in conclusion his argument is invalid and has no fucking idea what he's talking about.

I remember back in these days, thinking Britain was being stupid AF for sending weapons to extremist groups who would kill westerners if they had the chance.
Then ISIS happened, and I was like “Well fuck, these guys are way worse”.
What’s my point? I have none... I just remember my thoughts on all of this just before ISIS.
