Nagaland, the story of India's longest Insurgency

  • In recent years, the news agencies have mentioned the Nagaland conflict frequently, and this even gained the attention of the national and international media. But why is there a problem in this North-eastern state? Let us help you understand the problem in detail, and tell you about the age-old history of Naga Insurgency.
Nagaland continues to witness one of the longest and bloodiest standing insurgencies-one that has existed longer than the Kashmir insurgency. The political dispute has spanned over six decades, and to understand it, it is important to understand the ethnicity, culture, history, geography, and demography of the Naga tribes.

Don't mislead our Naga people with your half cook knowledge and hypocritical statement. If you really want people to hear our Naga history from your mouth, you better do an extensive research before you present it to the world. Bias and distorted history is not what people are looking for, but the truth. Next time don't talk about some one's history particularly of a nation, a tribe or a person without proper research and knowledge in social media because this will do much harm to people instead of enlightening. So be mindful next time...

There is no such thing as ahomi 😂🤣. It's ahom or akomiya, ahoms are not nature worshippers. They are Hindus, all ahoms are Hindus, even now. It's the Ahoms despite being hindu they have militancy and even today most ahoms want independence 😂🤣.
In manipur, no meitei is non manipuri, meitei itself means manipuri. Meitei are all Hindus and they also have militancy and strong hatred for India.
It's the Christian ones like mizoram and meghalaya who are peaceful and staying with India and have peaceful agreement with india. Even nagaland is much more peaceful now.
It's the Hindu ones, Ahom and meitei who are aggressive and resilient towards India. In manipur, they call Indians as mayang which holds a very racist name, similar in Assam, the ahoms have racist and hateful remarks towards Indians.

      @@bhaktmahakaalka7399
Nature worshippers or other polytheistic religions are called folk religions or animism not ahomi. Iol I'm sorry but I can't laughing even now looking at your comments. These animist people are the most peaceful ones in NE so far, Arunachalis, nagas, mizo and meghalaya people etc. were all animist a large number are still animist.
My tribe is also among the animist ones, only 2% is Christian in my tribe.
The closest thing to what u said "ahomi" 😂 are ahoms, all ahoms are hindus. Ahoms(Assamese) are one of the most anti India among here. An independent Assam is still wished by them.
      And lol,
Since when did meiteis became non-manipuri? Meitei the meaning of meitei itself is manipuri, the trend since ancient times is that people from hills and other places used to come to manipur and assimilate and become meitei as well. And Meiteis are Hindus. They hold racist remarks towards indians and don't like to be called as Indian.
Whereas in nagaland, the militancy has accepted long since peace treaty and agreement. Mizoram is the most peaceful one so far. Then you have Arunachal and meghalaya. The fact is that most Christian states of NE are peaceful, even militants from nagaland have signed peace treaty. It's the Hindu ones, like Meitei and ahoms still having struggle with Indian government or yearn for independence from India.

The thing is most of these tribes aren't even from the same stock. They are deemed under an anthropological term used by britishers. Most people didn't even know about the word called as naga in olden days. And now the people are demanding different statehood to break off from nagaland, similarly the trend in Arunachal is that the word naga isn't being used there or relevant. So tribes like konyak from Arunachal, Wangcho, nocte etc. don't relate or feel any relation with the tribes of Nagaland. Except for konyak from nagaland, but the konyaks also that they are more similar or related with Arunachalis like nocte and wancho in terms of association and language intelligibility than with the other tribes in nagaland.
And not that long ago, the zeliangrong used to demand a separate nation for their own ethnic group, now under the influence of NSCN. The demand for zeliangrong nation has been crubbed or buried by the demand for nagalim.
So I see no point or reason in them uniting

Ancient Northeast India not part of Ancient India Dynasty, if we see the history India identic with Ashoka Maurya Region, but at that time Northeast India not part of India. Northeast India was Southern tibetan Kingdom, a vassal China Kingdom at the edge of China Main Dynasty. Arunachal was China Qing Teritory, Qing defend Tibet area, but British silently seized the southern tibet forest area, so Arunachal been seized by British illegally, and British given Arunachal to India illegally by drawing McMohan line, and make in conflict between India and China before British leave India. Later when China know Southern tibet forest area (Arunachal) been seized by British, China send troop to defend Arunachal from British, but at that time British already give it to India illegally, then India misunderstood the McMohan line as legal (actually McMohan is illegal), then India get in conflict with China, at that time in the past China get back because it doesn't want prolong conflict with India. So, British designed border conflict between India and China before British leave India.

Do you know what Unique History is referred to in the context of Indo-Naga political issue? Is India required to recognize the uniqueness of any group of people without political context? In Indo-Naga political context the Unique History is referred to the fact that Nagas never consented to join Indian Union nor signed merger agreement which other states of India did. Moreover, it refers to the fact that Naga regions are forcefully divided between India and Myanmar without Nagas consent and till today Nagas have not given the consent but still fighting against the colonization. That's the Unique Hostory of Indo-Naga political issue that India had recognized

The British came to Nagaland to make division of India because India was too big geographically that is why we have Pakistan,Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal etc the British was scared to lose the war against India so they make all the master plan to divide India. The politics was DIVIDE AND RULE OVER it was lucky that India main land people are so innocent, kind and very rich by Nature so the British looted all the wealth. But even after division India is still too large is geography map comparing to England still now, and just comparing the population of England and India I don't think England would Bring it's troops in India again.
