Pure genius!!! I made a lap-size granny square piece with 48 squares and didn't weave in ends along the way. I regretted it! I learned my lesson. Thanks for a great solution for other works!!!
This is brilliant. All those tails gave me anxiety, but this is a VERY cute solution. Love it!
I never made tassels before, but when I have a project that needs them, I am DEFINITELY using this technique! It looks SO much easier than other tutorials I've seen! You always come with the real tea, Toni!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I almost forgot! Happy Holidays!! 🎄🕎🎄🕎🎄🕎🎄
@TL Yarn Crafts • Toni: Kudos to you! Not only did you give very complete instructions, but you supplemented them with great camera work, well-lit, and close-up, but you also took the time to bring in the graphic of the S & Z twist yarns. Other CZcamsrs just don't compare to you. Thanks so very much for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us. 👍
Merry Christmas to you and yours. May you have a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year!
Hi Toni, I love your channel. I have a hack to make this process even quicker! Years ago, my young daughter wanted this Conair Quick Braid Tool for twisting hair. She lost interest in it within a week, then I saw how it worked, it does the same twisting for making tassels, but it’s battery operated. One year, I wove 30 dish towels for my quilting students and this tool made the tassels a breeze! I hope it helps!
This actually solves multiple problems for me! I (along with everyone else, I'm sure) hate sewing in ends, but I also hate the look, feel and maintenance of loose fringe. This, however, looks great. It seems easy to take care of. It doesn't seem like it's going to come loose from the project any time soon, and it's not just loose pieces of yarn, but thick, soft, twisted tassles that won't get all tangled or tickle my arms 😂 I will definitely keep this in mind for my next multi colored blanket project!
Nice hack, it could look sweet on a poncho or an asymmetrical shawl as well ❤ Thank you
Thank you for sharing this technique. You explain directions so clearly. ❤
Fantastic idea 🎉 I have avoided the temperature blanket for this very reason but this is a great solution ❤
Perfect timing! I’ve been mosaic crocheting and I have a ton of ends that need tending to
Beautiful blanket and tassels.... great technique... 1st time i see it😍
i love this. It looked so elegant on your temperature blanket. Thanks for sharing the tutorial.
I never ever do tassels but this technique has inspired me. ❤
What a fantastic edging and use of those dreaded “must sew in” ends! Gives the project a little more flare! Love it! Thanks for sharing!
Your tutorials are always so clear! Thanks for this!
This is such a cool technique! Thank you for teaching it so clearly. I look forward to trying it out.
🎉 can't wait until I get the happy place yarn! I've worked with 100% wool in the past, never tried any of the blended fibers before.... needless to say my new year's resolution is to rid myself of red heart. I'm just ready to explore this new world of fiber art!
Fantastic demo! Can’t wait to use this tassel tip.
Omg I just received your book with two fishes a cat and two llamas. Thank you can’t wait to read love that my book is signed by you❤❤❤❤
You are so calm and patient (although no one is there to get on your nerves.🥴) Your instructions and directions are always so simple to follow and your visuals are easy to see and understand. I really appreciate what you do to help.
Have an amazing 2024! 🥰🤗
This is so smart. I think it'd look so pretty braided as well. I always think to add beads to this type of yarn ends.
I shy away from so many patterns because of end weaving. This is a game changer, Thank You!!
Wow what a great idea!! Thank you for your great instructions!!
Oh my goodness this is perfect! I do a lot of mosaic crochet and that has loose ends on every row! But this will make things so much easier! Normally the patterns call for a border that covers all those ends rather than weaving them in, or sewing fabric over it. But those ALSO take forever! Which was a main factor why I’ve never been brave enough to do a mosaic crochet blanket! I’m definitely going to do this so I can finally make the mosaic blanket of my dreams!
I love how those look! I've never seen this before. Thanks for sharing!
Now I want to make a temperature scarf with these tassels
Love it! Wish I’d known when I made a temp blanket a few years back! 😂 Maybe I’ll have to make another one! 🤔Thank you!
Omg, I love this! I despise weaving in ends😂.
OMGosh! That is insane, I never would have thought of it but WOW it really works! Thank you for sharing this amazing tassel hack!
I've always done the fringe part when I know there's going to be lots of ends left over but the twist part?? Love that! Merry Christmas Toni to you and your loved ones. Stay safe. And Merry Christmas to all the viewers around the world. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Toni, your nails are so cute! Great tutorial… fringe intimidates me so much, but now I want to do this on all my projects
Wow, that looks great. Even I could do that. Would be great for mosaic crochet too. Love it.
So cute, and a nice different-looking tassel!
❤ to easy twisted tassels.
Thank you thank you thank you! I have so admired your tassels but have been unable to create them successfully. It’s all about honoring the twist!
Thank You for sharing your tassel technique!
Genius!!!! Whenever I make a blanket next I'm gonna do this!
I love this method, thank you for sharing it! It reminds me of braiding techniques that use when doing hair, never would’ve thought to apply to my crochet projects! Thanks again ❤😊
This is genius!!! Thanks for sharing this!
I love these kind of tassels!!! This is so pretty chic! Can’t wait to make one! 😝
This makes my happy. Thanks, Toni!!
What a great tutorial! I don’t crochet much, but I do knit and weave, and this process can be used there as well. PLUS it is such a good way to make sure your tassels are nice and full. This is definitely getting saved for next time I have some ends to finish.
Cute! TFS! ❤
This is such an elegant way to manage this, thank you so much!
Oh my goodness!! So beautiful!
You are simply genius! Thanks for all that you do and have Happy Holidays!
Oh, this is gonna revolutionize my striped scarf/shawl game
Love how this works! The effect is stunning! Thanks!
Thank you for this and I love your nails in this tutorial!
Very neat. Thanks for sharing.
Love it!!!!😍 thanks for sharing!
Love this! Never tried to make tassels like this! I did something similar a long time ago... the pull rope dog toys with fabric scraps. They probably do better in the washing machine too!
Amazing, I have been thinking about starting a mood blanket this year but the idea of weaving in 365 ends just very reluctant to start. I love this.
Great video! I've always wondered how to do tassels easily. Thank you for such clear instructions (both in words and in video) 😍
This is so awesome and a gorgeous solution! I might actually start a blanket now...
Brilliant. Perfect. Thank you!
Omg! Genius!! ❤
Thank you so much! This is going to help so much on the big projects!
Brilliant and beautiful! Thank you so much for this ♥ ♥
AWESOME HACK!!!!! This is the best idea for tassels. I can't believe it's the first time I'm seeing this.

Love the rainbow colors that you have used for this it looks very beautiful have a blessed day and Happy Merry Christmas and New Years to you and your family and your friends God-bless you all! 🎉❤
Beautiful job and fun to watch! Thank you for posting....
Thank you for sharing this! I’ve got a throw that I finished crocheting months ago. However it’s been sitting because I couldn’t decide what to do with the yarn at the end of each row since each row is a different color! Eek! Thank you for showing how to do this fringe!!
Oh yes, this is a beautiful idea! I'll defeintely give it a try. Thank you!
This makes so much sense and brilliant
This is a way cool trick that I need to try😀! I hope I’m ok sharing my trick that I learned, which is this. I learned, that when you are through with making a blanket or a scarf and you want to add tassels, but don’t want to do the cut and tie method, is to simply make a row of single crochets. Then when you are at the end of your row, to simply slip stitch into the first stitch, chain 15 or however long you want your tassels to be and then slip stitch in the chain stitches coming down. When you have reached the bottom, you slip stitch back into the same stitch to secure the tassel and you keep repeating the pattern all the way down the row😃! This method makes it to where your tassels won’t fray when you throw your item into the wash, and they are actually very cute! I made a blanket scarf and I used this tassel technique, and I’m in love!
That's a VERY CLEVER way to add strands to your fringe! 👍
Thanks! 😊
THANK YOU FOR CLARIFYING WHY YOU TWISTED IN THE DIRECTION YOU DID!!! I never understood seeing the difference between the twist in the yarn thank you!
Such a cute solution! And I love the yarn in this tutorial! Would you mind sharing what kind is it?
This is brilliant! Amazing, thank you for sharing! ❤
