There's some really cool new units and upgrades for yapyap. Seems to be a bit more that's unique compared to some leaders

Heavy Grunts are neutral to everything. I pretty much feel like they would destroy air army due to an ability to emp (Y). Yap kinda seems like a cutter to me in turns building an infantry army.
Exodus yea they are pretty much marines but maybe a little better against other infantry since they replace suicide grunts

I see this being a situation where you have to be the one to put pressure on yapyap early. I'm talking like 3 minutes in you're at their base. Have to hit him before he gets those leader powers because that veterancy drop is scary. I see Atriox and Jerome being solid early counters, as well as Forge. Great breakdown Pat!

I play kinda slow. I like to horde resources before i begin attacking so yip yap may be the perfect character for me since the cannon fodder is free

I feel the opening best strat is gonna be to take a minibase right off the bat to start double pumping canon fodder, make 3 goblins with the upgrade, and a couple of methane wagons.

We also need to keep in mind that his starting game is going to be a struggle and slow. His early game is weak cause his only range unit that has range is his hero. So collecting power nodes is going to be a crucial weakness for YapYap as you need range to kill the Sentinals So I think what is going to happen is that all the YapYap players are all going to have similar builds with them all having to be with War Council.
If this is the case you should make a video guide that shows us multiple builds that can help early game that helps you keep up against the opponets, if you like.
Don't forget heavy grunts and choppers

putt the Gas carts near the Grunt Goblins and go crazy
i dont mind team game and im not hating them but it would be nice if u could tell me ur opinon on how it affects 1v1 meta. all you guys talk about is team games nothing wrong with that but 1v1 is much more competive

Halo Wars 2's sub factions is the most pathetic sub factions I have ever seen. This is the only one that is the closest of being a proper and a "real" sub faction pack. And the only one close to being worth the asking price.
HW2's sub factions give you 2-3 new units, a few new powers and new upgrades to the new units. That's it. That's all you fucking get. This one gives 5 new units + the other things I said.
It's so fucking pathetic. A proper and real sub faction gives you several new units, new upgrades for existing and new units, upgrades leading to different playstyles and results. You will also get new powers and technology. As well as new buildings, asthetics, designs and defensive structures. This is a *REAL FUCKING SUB FACTION* and not like HW2.
It bears repeating. HW2's sub factions gives you 2-3 new units, a few new powers and new upgrades to the new units, completely ignoring the already existing ones. That's all you get.

So you're saying grunts weren't dumb. Just scared? They've always been dumb. It's the rare ones that weren't. And they were in the books, not the games.
You must have never listened to the grunts, ever then. Because if you were stealthy and listened to the idle chatter of the grunts. They were always saying stupid childish stuff. As I said, the smart ones were in the books, however you chose to take that as "It's the same as in the books."

I.E. The rare ones that were smart, were in the books. The grunts in game were never smart.
Like Deacon Dabab who was very smart. But for the most part, grunts are childish, and basic. Sorry you don't like it, But it's always been that way. The fear is just an added layer.
But not all the grunt dialogue in YapYap is stupid. Listen to the grunt units chatter in game and they say some interesting stuff.
