  • Finally after 50 years we have some answers.
The owner of the abandoned site Festival Club has agreed to sit down and chat with us about what really happened there in the 1970s.
Some say this was the first ever super club here on the island, it hosted an array of both live music and vinyl DJs. But there has been many speculations over the years surrounding the club and its demise. It's been said on numerous occasions that Bob Marley graced its stage within the time it was open, which was only 3 years in total from opening to close. Rumour has it that closed due to a virus pandemic causing tourism to come to a halt in the early 1970s. Legend has it that this in turn forced the club into administration and it ended up closing because of lack of profits.
On an island that prides itself on being the superclub capital of the world, it was a great pleasure to sit down with Vicente and talk about this magical place that has been at the forefront of Ibiza's yesteryears.
We hope you enjoy this one as much as we did creating it.

Nice One Cyril! It's a glorious graffiti enhanced ruin and should be preserved as is like The Acropolis.

I think nature is doing a pretty good job of trying to preserve it. I’ve been on the island 10 years and have noticed a few things have falling though in that time. I still visit the site often and it’s one of my favourite places on the island
