Michael was inspired by him, Fred Astaire, and many more, even West Side Story with dance routines… but today is a downer…. Everyone remembers this day and where they was, and what they were doing. We miss you Michael 💙🙏 Forever in our hearts
I was 3years old
I was 15 and I had been friggin OBSESSED with Michael and everyone knew that about me and most people bullied me ruthkessly for my life of MJ and I often felt like I was the last MJ fan left. I even wrote him a fan letter at one point. But when news came out about Michael's passing I had approx 45 people text me to make sure I was alright and some begged me not to do any rash like off myself because they knew how much I loved him. But yeah, it was an AWFUL day that forever changed me.
RIP Michael, I miss being able to dream about getting to meet you one day but I'm glad you are at peace now. You were too good for this cruel world!

Lets be real, folks. He was 5-15 years old when artists like Chaplin, Fred Astaire, James Brown, etc were in their hay day (20s and 30s) entertaining him and the world.

This is absolutely true. Michael is very original and Unique person both of them reached new height in their art, succeeded higher than we could ever imagine. Both inspired others to reach their potentials. In life what makes Michael stand out above all the other offices is the fact that he does it with love and so much compassion anything he put his hands to do he always mastered it when I see Michael, I see a genius way beyond his years he has never been a high minded personalways been humble, kind and considerate of others. He learns fast. He has so much of a brilliant ideas, waiting to bring forth in his art.
Original is not the word I would use for Mike, he borrowed so much from those who came before him, but he definitely put his stamp on things and certainly was THRILLING.

Michael adored Charlie Chaplin. I remember when he first said it. He was much younger. It may have been on the Ed Sullivan show or Dick Cavett show. But he listed his favorite performers in the sequence (If I can recall):
1. Charlie Chaplin
2. Cab Calloway
3. Bojangles (Bill Robinson)
I am so thrilled to have lived in the decades of all five of these fine performers, except for Bojangles who is the only one who died before I was born.
But I never forget watching them perform on a monochromatic TV set at my nonna's house. 🤗❤

I love this- no matter what age he is he can always sing and dance- he's adorable, handsome, he looked and sounded like an angel, he was shy, humble, calm, polite, hilarious and badass when he had to be badass- Rip Michael Jackson August 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009- I wish I was born during that time to at least see him once but at least I can see this now and we share the same bday month which I found out when I did my first project on him- Michael moving the mustache was adorable lol- but Michael is better in my opinion ngl- love it still tho-
