if you want to find the VHS tape yourself you can find it behind a secret wall in the crypt place
use the corrupted key to open a suspicious wall on like a middle level of a staircase that leads to a little coffin room on the upper level which has a closed exit

considering death exists as an invincible enemy in the game I wonder if the next step is to figure out how to kill death.

The way this game mixes vaporwave with medieval dungeon crawlers like kings field together is really something. It all works some how in such a weird way
Well ackshiually this isn't vaporwave at all, this is jungle/liquid dnb and turn-of-the-century visual design 🤓.
This video really put me in awe. The questions that require deep self introspection, and on the idea of creation. This could be Kira's inner thoughts on working a longterm project such as this. What really got me wasn't the philosophical questions raised about the meaning of life, but really why he chose to use breakcore for the video. Truly one of the easter eggs of all time.

hmmm...I think I may have a small theory. While I don't know exactly what it means, there is a achievement in the game called "LUNACID" where it says "Wake the old one."
Dunno how to get it, but apparently only 0.1% of players have the achievement...
Which could mean that either there's a secret only one person found.
Nah, im pretty sure people just used things like steam achievement manager to hack it in. Which is shitty as fuck, but expected of people anymore tbh. Wake The Old One is likely the achievement for beating the game, which we obv cannot do yet since it's in early access
well i did get the strange VHS achievement (which you get for finding the white tape ) is there another achievement for this step ? because i did watch it on the castle tv and no achievement poped up

Edit: I finished the vid and… I’d just like to say, I went mad expecting some huge pay off ( I put the first vhs tape in the tv but I couldn’t see what was on the tv so I thought I needed something else.) and instead I just got told by the dev to go outside and f off
Were you playing on Linux or Steam Deck? Had the same issue too. Didn't even realize the game had a compass until now that doesn't show up either.

That last quote really robs the vhs from all subtlety. They really shouldn't have quoted Lovecraft there, takes out from the originality of the message, which isn't that deep, but was at least pretty

i don't remember exactly. i think in the sewery bit of the temple of silence area is a sideroom with a secret door that has a VHS in it, and in the crypt there is a hidden room near the vampires coffin with a TV in it. playing the VHS in that TV should show you where to get that key
