In the ancient Iranian calendar, the year was divided into four seasons, and the first and middle of each season were celebrated.
May 4th(ordibehesht 15) is known as Baharbad as a mid-spring festival, which is known as one of the main festivals of ancient Iran.
On the other hand, April 20 (ordibehesht 1) in Shiraz begins with the birthday of Saadi Shiraz and ends(ordibehesht 31 or May 20) with the celebration of Shirazi's Malasdari.
For this reason, this day has been named Shiraz Day.
