- Netherstorm is a zone in northeastern Outland consisting of several large land fragments and countless smaller shards of rock all floating in the Twisting Nether. The region is locked in a constant magical storm. The Netherstorm is in a constant state of deterioration -- the magical storm that is the zone's namesake is slowly tearing apart the fabric of reality bridging the gap between the physical world and the Twisting Nether. Magical lightning arcs across the skies within a thick haze of violet cloud and bands of pure magical energy wrap their way across the sky.
Some of its wild creatures include nether rays, mana wyrms, and colossi. Several areas of the region have been influenced by goblins who perform research and experiments in the unique environment. Signs of their influence can be seen on the architecture of bridges and sign posts. They have erected a major base in the form of Area 52 on the southwestern island, and another smaller base in the east called Cosmowrench.
Five tremendous manaforges have been strategically built across the Netherstorm, siphoning mana from the Twisting Nether itself to be used to some insidious purpose by the blood elves led by Kael'thas.
The Netherstorm is home to two bands of ethereals named the Consortium and the Protectorate. Their main outposts are at the Stormspire and the Protectorate Watch Post respectively. Great magical domes constructed by the ethereals dominate the view from nearly any point in the region. Within these domes, the ethereals work to preserve an environment that is to the liking of their flesh-based clients.
The Burning Legion has also taken a stake in the zone. They have established two principal bases, Forge Base: Oblivion and Forge Base: Gehenna, and have overrun the Arklon and Farahlon Ruins. Their representatives can also be found nearly anywhere that Kael'thas' blood elves exist, namely the Mana Forges spread across the region.
The Eye of the Storm is a battleground that is theoretically situated within the zone.

A video which I wanted to publish last week, but the issues with my Internet still persist. By the way, I have not abandoned the stream work, I am waiting for the new Internet provider to enable my account. The old provider wasn't able to fix my issue at all, so I had to sign with someone else.
About the video and the music: visually spectacular, Netherstorm has a long music track, however, it's a lot of humming, Matt Uelman's style. Personally I like it. I know the music is not for everyone though, but hopefully I won't end up with 500 views.
The channel is not doing good, you can see it by checking the numbers of the latest videos, but I am still grateful to _you,_ the one who views these videos for staying with me. Not sure how much I can go on, but I'll try to keep publishing for now.

Netherstorm is where the venn diagram between "space sci-fi" and "medieval fantasy" is a single, perfect circle. Hellfire Peninsula is already pretty close, but Netherstorm nails it

When Wrath was released while everyone was overwhelming the new start zones and competing for resources I came here. I did all of the quests I never did in this zone, entertained me for a week or so while the storm passed and leveled me up.

Oh I'm so happy that you're finally doing the TBC soundtrack. Definitely one of the best in the whole game, in terms of the atmosphere and just pure brilliance. Matt Uelmen is truly one of a kind. Keep 'em coming Meisio!

About Matt Uelmen, well, I like Hellfire tracks, I like Nagrand tracks, but mostly I like his work on the Diablo 2 tracks :)

@@Meisio Matt Uelmen is amazing. Did you know the music he composed for D3 (the Blizzard North D3, not the released one) were used in TBC? Nagrand and Fortress from D2 is so similar.
It is a real shame we did not see the Fields of Falanor in WoD... Imagine an epic quest line that would show how the Netherstorm was (or even how it came to be)...

For some reason as of right now the entire zone has it's music bugged out. You cannot hear it unless you turn off the sound effect. And even after you do it, a few seconds have to pass before music starts. Once you turn sound effects back on, music stops. And only Netherstorm is like this. The rest of the Outland is fine.
