- Love of My Life ❤️ A few days ago I came across a video from legendary Brian May playing only a guitar part of one of my favourite song of all time. I just couldn’t resist singing this song on my cello “next” to one of my musical idols. Also the song sounds like it was written for cello 😍 Enjoy!🙏

Oh Luka.. so perfect, absolutely PERFECT! Especially the part (2:08 - 2:18) where Freddie's voice would always lift our hearts up and fly us all away with him. (Brian knows, smiled😉)

An insulting comparison. This cellist's vibrato is controlled not an inconsistent machine gun like Freddie's. I enjoyed Freddie for his showmanship. He was a wonderful, emotive, imperfect entertainer not a world class level musician.
Cherry Sorry you feel that way. Two different genres but each of them is World Class in their categories . They each touch me deeply.
@@deborahhunter924 you are right. To each their own! I am not a great fan of Freddie mostly because his intonation was off a LOT in live *recorded* performances. Both artists deserve respect. I played cello all through my youth so appreciate this young man's skill quite a bit more.

Cherry Thank you. I understand where you come from since I play piano. Luka’s playing makes me hold my breath while I’m in awe of some of the complexities of Freddie’s composing and that it should come so quickly to him to compose like that. You are right about intonation being off. I noticed that on a couple of live recorded concerts. I also sing. Unfortunately for a woman, my comfort zone is baritone/tenor. I also have a natural vibrato. His range amazes me. Take care and keep music alive.😀

@@nataliazen that’s terrific. I started cello at forty one as well. I’m one year in now. How I wish I would have started at 21 or even 11. But hey at least we finally found it right! I’m sure I can speak for you when I say I’m so grateful I did.
