Real talk, you fought four different enemies that are hard barriers for a lot of people, killed two of them, and nearly beat the third. You're doing great so far, once it clicks for you, you'll wonder how you ever had trouble.
Hey Jettro, there are 3 death attacks by enemies and here they have there own counters.
1. Grab attack: Simply dodge it.
2. Thrust attack: Mikiri all the way.
3. Sweep attack: Jump then jump again on enemy's head to deal posture damage.
If an enemy has a huge health pool breaking the posture is easier. If the enemy is difficult to parry then there health pool is significantly low.

A couple other tips: Decreasing their health makes their posture bar go down slower. So if you're facing an enemy that isn't taking a lot of posture damage and their posture resets too quickly try focusing on getting behind them and landing attacks they can't block to decrease their health first. Also when it comes to parrying if you just mash the block button that works for most things. You can raise and lower your guard so fast that you really don't have to worry about timing when it comes to those super fast flurry attacks, you can just mash the block button and you'll parry every attack. And most bosses aren't as hard as they seem. Most have some sort of gimmick to them that has a powerful counter you just have to be creative and find it. Like Lady Butterfly for example likes to jump up in the air a lot, if you hit her with a shuriken while she's in the air it will knock her down and deal a good amount of posture damage. Some help regarding Lady Butterfly,
Be aggressive, don't give her space to even breathe. Keep attacking. After the first bar, keep running round and round the room behind the pillars until those "ghouls" disappear. Then continue being aggressive.
She is a master at illusions and that's whats going on here btw.
Ive never seen that helper dude survive the Drunkard guy so long. Usually he gets got immediately of what Ive seen.
Ay bro, I hope you keep playing this game cuz it's legit some gas. A few pieces of advice that helped me fr fr,
- the shuriken can interrupt attacks on certain characters like the old lady, if she sits up on her webs, you can hit her down.
- you really gotta read the properties of the items you get when you get them, like the snap seeds. they got really helpful properties but you gotta know when to use em. they a lil cryptic though so make sure you read up
- if you finding something hella hard, make sure to explore the area around cuz there are tools that you're meant to find to help.

There’s a lot prosthetics that you should be able to get right now. Firecrackers, an axe, sabimaru, and the flame vent. Firecrackers and its upgrades are really strong and stun a lot of enemies/bosses

As someone whos beaten sekiro multiple times, and completed mods to make the game harder, I can whole heartedly say that your first playthrough of this game will always be your most special. Once you beat the game and go back, you'll wonder to yourself "how did I ever find this hard" xD

@@sunayocarissime5309 I personally think that this game boils down to 2 key skills. Pattern recognition and rhythm. Once you start looking at the game through that lens, with enough patience, I think anyone no matter their skill level can beat this game. Just toss your ego aside and accept that you are going to die alot. I'd also play on controller but thats just my preference!
Hey jettro found this series through tiktok keep up the vids I really hope you’ll play through the full game trust it will be amazing but a few non spoiler tips I can give is
1. 99% of thrusting attacks (with the red kanji) can be mirikiri countered whether it be sword spear etc
2. If the attack is a sweep attack(with the little red kanji) of some sorts again whether it be sword spear etc you can usually jump over the attack and press jump again and jump on the enemies head if u did it right it will play a sound effect and do some stagger damage
3. These next 3 tips you may already know but you can use those memories you get to upgrade your attack power this is really important to do
4. You can use those prayer beads to upgrade your stagger bar and your health im also p sure you may have skipped some prayer beads
5. You can use the gourd seeds to upgrade your gourd and have it have more charges im pretty sure you also may have skipped some seeds
6. For the shield enemies you need the axe prosthetic tool it’s a prosthetic tool that lets u use an axe and when swung on the shield enemies it will break their shield and stagger them this prosthetic can be found in the hirata estate flash back your on right now (the one with lady butterfly)
7. Lady butterfly is a boss that may require prep let me explain her move set is focused on a few things her kunai and kicks and her illusion techniques when she uses that move that makes everything misty and spawns enemies you need to use an item called snap seeds this will dispel the illusion and get rid of those enemies. These snap seeds have farming spots of their own that are currently available to you if you look them up, some shops also sell them I believe
8. Lady butterfly’s biggest weakness is the shuriken prosthetic tool if she’s jumping around mid air you can snipe her with a shuriken and knock her down dealing some stun and a lot of stager damage
9. The fire cracker is easily the best prosthetic tool it stuns enemies and lets you just smack the shit out of them it’s esp useful for animal enemies such as the flaming bull you fought or the horse riding guy with the spear you fought
10. All Shinobi prosthetic tools can be upgraded if u go and speak to the old man at the diplated temple after beating the horse riding guy (that you already fought) you can give him the mechanical barrel and this will open a whole skill tree of upgrades for the prosthetic tools
That’s all the tips I have but let me know if you have any questions and I hope you have a great time with this game
There is a little hut by the 2nd idol at hirate that has the "Shinobu axe of the monke" that 1 hits "Through" shield enemies. Get it. Also at hirate at the final idol backtrack to a corner with a painting and hug the wall to find a secret room with some loot. Same thing can be found in ashina Castel dojo. After genichiro there are 3 places to go, sunken valley, senpou temple, and ashina depths. The game wants you to Go in that order but I reccomend doing senpou first for an op sword. You can't miss it its part of main story. Try using prosthetics creatively. Firecrackers stun animals, throw a shuriken to stop enemies regening posture while keeping distance, use the axe when there vulnerable, teleports with mist raven feather etc. Just some tips. Also try to like dance with the enemy. Attack then when they counter attack deflect until you know you can immediately counter. Loop this for ez deathblow.Also for lady butterfly if you use a snap seed all her minions die. 1 thing to remember is that you don't have to do this area, it's optional. So come back later more op and ez win.

Shuriken prosthetic: attack enemies who are mid air to destroy their posture.
Loaded Axe prosthetic: destroys the shields.
Firecrackers prosthetic: scares beast like enemies (bull, horses and in future monkeys) and deals posture damage to all enemies.
There are a lot of prosthetic tools but I've finished Sekiro 3 times with only these 3 tools.

Wait how would this be regarded as the, "game cheating." This is Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. On a difficulty curve it makes even Cuphead look like Mario Kart. I seen a friends playthrough that made me think, "its a wonder you haven't fragged 30 or 40 controllers already!" I think she died like 28 or 30 times before she finally threw in the towel, not even sure she even tried again. I'll be honest I'm scared to even have a try at it myself. It looks like a fun game but well....I'll be honest I'm VERY intimidated by it.🤣🤣🤣
