  • One of the best-selling crossovers from the Munich-based automaker is the BMW X3. There will be a new iteration of the X3, which first appeared in 2003, later this year. The fourth generation BMW X3, with the chassis code G45, will make its debut in 2025. Huge leaps forward in both technology and style will be on display.
The G45 X3 may initially deviate from the design of most later BMW automobiles, even if it is built on the CLAR or NCAR (Neue Klasse architecture) platforms. Though it will continue to ride on the adaptable CLAR chassis, the G45 BMW X3 will get some major facelifts both the outside and inside. Redesigned headlights and kidney grille give the 2025 BMW X3 a fresh look that's more of an upgrade over the present model.
The new headlights will look quite similar to the ones on the most recent BMW 5 Series, X1, and X2 cars, so the whole family may have a consistent style. So, you can expect a pair of LEDs arranged in an L-shape housed in a classy glass panel. Also, the taillights' design is probably not going to shock anyone: they have two parallel light bars that go into the trunk and form an X pattern around the fenders. There is a roof spoiler and a tailgate, as expected from a crossover. The basic feature of all new BMW cars will be draining door handles. A single innovative step forward? The most expensive BMW X3 M50 will include quad-pipes, like the recently revealed X1 M35i and X2 M35i.
Options for the 2025 BMW X3's powertrain include a plug-in hybrid (X3 30e) and two variants powered by pistons (X3 20d and X3 30). The BMW X3 40d diesel is also anticipated. Obviously, the US market will not carry every engine variant, particularly diesel and entry-level gasoline versions.
In 2025, the BMW X3 M50 will be the top model. Take note of how the letter "i," which stood for fuel-injected engines before, is no longer there. The letter "i" will henceforth only serve to distinguish electrified BMWs, as has been noticed on current models. The 3.0 liter, six-cylinder B58 engine that supports the M Performance Model (2025 BMW X3) and produces 382 horsepower when combined with a mild hybrid system will remain the same.
