    BEAUTIFUL SITES IN MOAB, I WANTED TO TELL YOU AN OLD TRICK WITH YOUR AIR FILTERS, . TRAVELING IN THE AREA IS GREAT , BUT TRAVELING ON SAND ROADS IS HARD ON THE ENGINE, SO TO MAKE IT BETTER PERFORMANCE, A NYLON STOCKING OVER THE OR AROUND THE AIR FILTER, IT WITH TRAP THE FINE DUST , AND NOT LET IT IN THE AIR CHAMBER TO YOUR ENGINE. THE IS A OLD MILITARY WORKS, AND THEY STILL DO IT, EVEN WITH ALL THE BETTER AIR FILTERS ON THE MARKET TODAY. ITS CHEAP AND GREAT FOR YOUR ENGINE.

      Thanks for the suggestion. Sounds like a great idea for a pre-filter. Now I need to go buy some stockings. 😊

    How did you mount your IPad in your Jeep. Please help. Thanks.

    • @AdventureAwaits4u
      @AdventureAwaits4u  Před 2 lety

      I use a mount made by RAM mounts. They are usually the company law enforcement and the military use so I figured it would work well in the Jeep and it does. 76 designs is another good option. Thanks for asking.

    is this doable with full size overlanding truck on 35's and 2.5" lift no lockers and fully loaded with overlanding equipment including RTT?

    • @AdventureAwaits4u
      @AdventureAwaits4u  Před rokem +1

      You should be fine as far as capability and ground clearance. I don’t see any reason the full size rig wouldn’t fit anywhere so you should be good. Have a great trip and let us know how it goes.

    Are there alternate routes around the obstacles? 2019 f150 leveled on Bilsteins with 33s. Can I make it?

    • @supersami7748
      @supersami7748 Před 2 lety +1

      They mention at about the 4 minute mark that they are on an optional extra credit climb. The obstacle at 1 minute you can see the trail off to the left. I’ve been over the trail 3 times (the last time was 3 years ago) there was nothing that I remember that would give you a problem. The best thing to do is check with the Red Rock 4 Wheelers for exact current info.

    • @AdventureAwaits4u
      @AdventureAwaits4u  Před 2 lety

      @Super Sami gave the best answer possible. Thanks for answering the question. Clinton, if you have been on any of the trails in Moab RR4W should have a rating for it. I would compare their rating to your personal rating of a trail you have run just to understand what a 4,5,6 rating is. If you click on the link you will see they rate the trail at a 4. 33s are the minimum tire size but no winch or lockers needed. The GPX file can be downloaded here as well. Please keep us posted. I want to hear about your adventure if you choose to go.

    What all has been done to that LJ?

    • @AdventureAwaits4u
      @AdventureAwaits4u  Před 3 lety

      On this trip, Currie short arm lift with 4” springs, Currie steering, fox adjustable shocks with remote resi, diff covers, lower profile transfer case skid plate, aluminum armor and rock sliders, aluminum fenders, aluminum front bumper with warn winch, Currie anti rock front and rear and 35” Cooper STT Pros on custom aluminum Beadlocks by OMF are some of the main mods. It is always evolving and it has recently changed again. This is a daily driver so he very selective about what modifications are done. It does really well.

      Dana 44 front and rear? Is it a Rubicon? Ever broke anything?

    • @AdventureAwaits4u
      @AdventureAwaits4u  Před 3 lety

      @@metwono it is a Rubicon so yes on the Dana 44 front and rear. No trail breaks that i can remember. He is very good at proactive maintenance so that helps on ware items like U joints. It also helps that he is sticking with 35s. A larger heavier tire might start breaking stuff. It does have upgraded axle shafts and driveshafts at this point as well.

    • @metwono
      @metwono Před 3 lety +1

      Awesome. Thanks for the info. I have an LJ that I want to take on adventures like yours. I’d like to run 37s so I’m thinking Dana 60 swap in the rear and RCV axles up front.
      Both Jeeps are awesome but I love that LJ.

    • @AdventureAwaits4u
      @AdventureAwaits4u  Před 3 lety

      @@metwono totally understand. I have a Black LJ Rubicon that is in some of the videos as well. It is on 36s and moving up to 37s now. To do this safely I used the nitro gear big pinion setup. This allows you to run the much larger JKR rear ring and pinion in your front and rear TJR axles if you want. I’m running that setup just in the rear for now. Chromoly axles front and rear. I see JKs and JLs beat on 37s all the time with no rear issue. I feel like this mod is a no brainer but it isn’t well known. Look up my video called “Best TJR gear upgrade”. 👍🏼

    Moab,sadly, has been ruined. Too many hotels, high priced homes and the prices to go there are out of touch for many of us now. I got to run it for 30 years. But no more it looks like.

    • @SeaplusSalt
      @SeaplusSalt Před rokem

      With respect, this is not true. We have been in Moab a week now and have found very affordable/clean hotel accommodation and also have found literally 100s of open camp stops for under $20 a night. Beyond that, the places to Jeep camp for free are endless.

    • @raginroadrunner
      @raginroadrunner Před rokem

      I used to live there.$ 500 a night for a motel room and 160 to park my truck camper is $100 more than any area around there. That is excessive.You go ahead.
