    Seppoku is basically honorary suicide that Samurai practiced in the edo era. The samurai would slice his stomach open with a very small knife then another samurai would cut his head off in order to preserve his honor, or release his spirit, something along those lines.

    Seppuku is a ritualistic suicide that samurai used. It’s brutal but facts, they would disembowel themselves. If you look in the video he makes slicing motion across his stomach when he drops that bar.

      Just from the word "seppuku", he interweaves lots of his themes. "Self-killing" (taming your ego) by "spilling your guts" (to the therapist). Even the sense of doing it to avoid capture/torture by enemies, fits nicely, if you picture his own over-guarded ego as both a source of pride, but also the enemy that's confining and tormenting him. I think that's what he meant by the "same cause and effect" in the previous song. Like Beowulf going into battle, armored up and proud of it, only realizing near death that pride won't fill his armor, nor lead his men.
      Also, the other aspect of seppuku- restoring honor to your family- fits, too. Like he's saying selfishly blaming his problems on Camu's death would be "a made up chain reaction", being non-responsive is shaming the memory of Camu. So he's working on letting his guard down, in his own cynical way.

      adding to this, lots of folks switch around "seppuku" and "sudoku", there was a meme about "committing sudoku" back in the early internet days... and if you check the video when he drops the seppuku line the video goes to an animation with a sudoku board

    Kirby is his "In case of emergency" contact on his medical paperwork in Level 1 of the game. Every little piece of this video is jokes, even though he's dealing with a serious topic. He put out four promo vids for this album with the cartoon bear Dr. Izzo (and Kirby): Sorry I'm Late, Posing & Posturing, Namaste, and Bopping. Not really reaction material, just his hilarious take on a therapy session that compliments the boss fight scene in this video. Well worth watching.

    I appreciate the reactions. One of my favorite tracks. The bar that you pointed out “when you start getting all exact and algebraic, I’m reminded it’s a racket not a rehabilitation” is straight 🔥. After Kirby you should check out some more of his new album “spirit world field guide” it’s insane 🤯

      @@Keeferfer :-:Ohhh ok that makes sense.. Those track go in kinda a order of his depression self.. Though alot of Aes music is about his state of mind and his self as an artist.. Those 3 could go together as a 3part. After a while it would make more sense to you on how or why..
      With that said though its alot of in-between that at the same time fits into those 3part videos..

    First verse is him filling out his application in his head, second is him explaining what hes thinking while in the waiting room to see the shrink, third is his struggle with therapy even though he needs to help. Go back and listen to it now and you'll pick up so much more. Trust that.

      also in the video, he's playing an arcade game. You gotta keep putting money in cause you wanna get to the next level, even if you lose your no worse off, but even if you win.. what do you really gain. In his though process, it's nothing more than a racket, you keep taking from me and I'm getting nothing out of it, but I still wanna beat the game. lol

    If you get a good therapist [for "you"], no, they're actually really great; Sincerely. Expensive, but super worth it
    If you get a bad therapist [for "you"], yea pretty much; super awkward at best, pointless at average, damaging at worst. Expensive and super not worth it
    Either way though, the track def still def captures the feeling I got waiting on a new therapist and interacting with them the first few times. I had a great therapist for a little bit, but even then the "honeymoon period" or whatever was pretty rough. Once we connected it was great, but you can def find yourself feeling all kinds of weird anxiety [/etc] about it at first. And the waiting room def doesn't help xp

    • @Keeferfer
      @Keeferfer  Před 2 lety

      The waiting room aspect would add a lot of anxiety. They should just send a text like "come thru fam".

      Therapy is just an arrogant way to say you know how the brain works, when in reality the brain is the most complex thing to study aside from the Ocean. That is only due to physical limits, studying the brain has limits that we don't even know are limits yet. Think about this, most therapists have their own therapist. Also Narcissists mainly use therapy as a way to better manipulate people. All in all therapy is pretty bullshit and not worth anything unless you are cool with paying somebody to have a conversation with... Therapy only works as long as you are in the session, most people with real psychiatric problems will go straight back into their "mood" as soon as they get home. Therapy doesn't work if you have to constantly go for the rest of your life, this is what you would call a "crutch".
