    Those macro shots though, honestly it looks amazing! I think Breitling's done a great job in redefining a dress watch in that this is still 100M water resistant, a pretty reasonable size, not tooo thick (though could be thinner) it's a watch you could use every day but you're right its still a dress watch. Dress watches you normally have to compromise so much on the useability but this really takes that downside away. I do have to say though as much as I think the salmon dial looks good, I wish they did a blue or black dial if I was actually going to buy one, and I wish it was based on the B01 too..but I'm greedy like that hehe

      Thanks Bro, I also don’t know why they don’t just use the B01 as base and add a calendar module in top but they might have their reasons for it.
      The watch is a nice Allrounder and a not too dressy dresswatch. I will try to get also the Pistachio and the split second in, but first I have some nice summer watches and also the Carrera Le. Have a great Sunday bro 👍🏻👍🏻

    A sports and tool watch by my definition (a chronograph cannot be dressy). But it is very retro elegant and therefore considered dressy today.
    I could only look at the green Premier without moon phase and date yet, but it is really well executed.
    The price point seems too high for Breitling to become a commercial success.

    • @mb-watches
      @mb-watches Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for your thoughts there, well let’s see, the pro is that this one gives 100m WR plus a calendar Chrono. It’s sort of a niche as Patek or JLC don’t offer that there, but on the other hand their movements are a bit more interesting. Ich think this one will find their customers and let’s see how the watch price will develop.
      From the finish itself it’s for sure a well made piece.

    It must be popular in the US, my local Breitling dealer had the Duographs and the pistachio dial premier, but not the Datoras. I agree, it’s a dress watch. I got the steel Duograph and put it on a Rubber B structure series 22/18 strap with the cognac alligator insert to make it a little less dressy. It’s the most affordable split chronograph mechanical in the market. Also smaller than the IWC split.

    As I can't afford a Saxonia Datograph Tourbillon for $270.000 which this is a very close resemblance to, this Premier Datora is compelling though I don't know how good this Concepto movement is. It's a bit pity that they couldn't use the B01 movement.

    • @mb-watches

      That’s the one thing I don’t understand either. Using the B01 as a base and adding a calendar module should be possible.
      The concepto shared the base design of the 7750 which an added column wheel. It’s a sturdy movement and concepto is on the Marktet since a while so i don’t see there any problems but also would preferred there the B01 as a movement.

    Nice video bro! I really like that salmon dial, but the dimensions are way too big for a dress watch. The lug to lug is 50 mm and the thickness is 15.3!! mm. If i would buy a dress watch in this price range, it would be a Jaeger-LeCoultre. Much nicer movements and smoother integration of the calendar/moonphase complications.
