I think you knew your competition was going to try and recreate your sound, and you did something completely different. You flexed every muscle with this one. It's so musical and I feel like your song is the only one that really stood out to me in the competition, and it's been stuck in my head since you dropped it. I love it.

Dude... ngl, I am slightly disappointed that your entry did not win, or at least reach the finals. This was on a whole different level of music artistry. While everyone else using the same melody to highlight the lyrics, you completely changed it and created a new song, you changed the flow, you changed the rythm. The choice of instruments, the choice of rythm, everything was chef's kiss. And it's a meme song. Your entry was literally art. You can really tell you are a talented musician.
Leave it to Bees to elevate this song to somewhere nobody expected!

I COULD NOT WAIT FOR THIS! I knew that when Ethan announced the contest, Bees from Space would create a majestic piece. I was not disappointed. Gotta say, when I heard it I knew it probably wouldn't win the competition. However I really believe that musically it's definitely the strongest and definitely my favourite. So unexpected and beautiful!
Yeah, chat didn't give it a chance at all. With the song being perceived as off-key at the beginning and how they didn't recognize the song enough that you could sing along really lead to this being an uphill battle. It deserved a second listen for chat to really get it. Maybe if it wasn't paired off against the darkhorse it would have made it one more round and been properly appreciated. Should have been expected how different it would be from the others considering how Fly to the Moon was almost musically unrecognizable in his rendetion.

Haha, this is better than the new Beatle's song. This is what I would've wanted from the new song but instead we got what sounded like another "filler" song. I think BFS probably knew this and tried to outdo the Beatles, which he did. But I think it went over everyone's head.
I thought this was absolutely incredible and my personal favorite! Its so high quality! Every time H3 does some kind of fan entry I am stunned at the level of creativity and skill people bring but you are really on another level!

Dude, you were robbed. I can see why a lot of people weren’t ready for this but I loved it. I’m not trying to be elitist, but you could tell a lot of people didn’t really “get it” when they were talking about the vocals being “off key” in the live chat. I can see why they would think that because you picked a really cool, unconventional melody for the underlying chord progression, but that doesn’t make it “off key”. 😂 oh well.

This is an amazing remix. I love remixes that re-do a song completely where the melody has been completely changed from the original. This is so amazing and beautiful. Bruh, when the bass goes all staccato, my insides do a lil thing 😅 Like, I cannot control my body's movements 💀 This is genuinely impressive as hell overall and what you managed to do with the vocal sample in particular is goddamn beautiful. The notes you picked for the repeated "you're not there" has big 2004 emo energy which is so bizarre but somehow great with the Beatles/Floyd kinda energy of the rest. Do you play any instruments btw, or is it all MIDI/DAW stuff? Either way, impressive as always, dude! ❤
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the song!! To answer your question about the instruments, I played the guitars, bass, drums, keys myself. Brass and strings were created with virtual instruments.
@@BeesFromSpace 😲 that makes it even better! Everything is so clean and the tones are so nice 😍 I thought that the bass sounded too good which is why I asked lol. In the past I assumed it was all digital, but I guess some were which makes tons of sense with tracks like Fly Me to the Moon haha. That shit goes soooo hard too, so no shade to virtual instruments, but it's insane that you put that much work into creating these and seemingly put real effort into making it as good as it can be. I'd love to do a similar kinda thing in future for a lil project except I have basically no experience with drums and no space for a kit. I'm good enough with the other main instruments and a couple of less common ones, but I've got tics similar to Ethan and they fuck up my flow when I have to focus on all four limbs 😂 I hope I can make something half as good as you with my programmed drums lol 😁
