- Today we are taking a look at the Casita. This 2800 sq ft 43' x 74' home can be found at Homes Direct, in Albany Oregon. This home is so large you almost need a map to find your way around. It has a great room, formal dining room, living room, sun room and 4 bedrooms, with one of those being an In-law suite. You get a front and back porch. I love that there is a dining room AND a breakfast nook. Take out the carpet and it would be perfect.
Wow, beautiful home. I do think in a home this big you should have 2 big screen televisions. A 65 inch for the family room and an 85 inch for the great room. My wife would rap me along side the head with a rolled up newspaper if I suggested that but we can dream can’t we. Thanks for showing this to us. God bless.
Best flooring I have seen, Ever! (The kitchen flooring is what I mean.) The formal dining room is wasted space. No sink in the utility room for a home this nice!!! Yes, blinds for the glass door in the bedroom but I wouldn't have it at all.
Nate, Thanks for showing this house. It is beautiful. My change would be that formal dining room would be where I'd display my curio cabinets or my art pieces..that breakfast room would then be my dining room. Another change is that master bedroom door to the outside porch...I'd get rid of it ..then flip my bed to that end, and the retreat would be in the middle of the room. Thank you for showing us this great house . So many ideas..plus that in law room will work as a guest suite for family visits . Thanks again, and Happy Easter to you and your son.
I love this one! That front living room would be my living room and the other one would be my family room. That way guests wouldn’t have to traipse through your house (and the living room is always the front one), and the family room is close to the kitchen for the kids. I’d do away with the formal dining room. It’s not wide enough and you’re always having to walk around the table. I’d put a credenza on each side or a curio cabinet. That beautiful eating area would make a great dining room. And I agree about the outside door in the master bedroom. With a few tweaks, I could happily live in this home, even though my son is grown.
Finally found "the one." Everything is just right. I'd switch things up a bit though. Where the breakfast nook is, I'd turn that into my crafting studio, and screen that back porch if I needed to work in the open air. The amount of light coming in is great.
Love this home. Wouldn't change anything.

1st of all, you are a natural at this, ever striving to be knowledgeable about the products. Keep it up, y'all got this.
My only suggestion would be to always state the size of the bed in the primary bedroom if staged. As well as always showing the shower in the primary bathroom. No one ever seems to do that.

That's a nice one! I agree about the carpet in the dining room. But whole area would have to be something else besides carpet to make the flow makes sense, or else you'll have carpet then the dining room with something else and then more carpet and then the kitchen it's just too busy.

Good job, Nate, as usual. But...this place s biggggg!! Also the pantry isn't big enough, especially for that size of house. Didn't see a fireplace of any kind either, which is something we'd have to change. There are a lot of things, actually, that we'd need to change. So...this one, even though it is beautiful, wouldn't do for us. Good video just the same. It does give me some good ideas!

This is another beautiful home by Palm Harbor. I gotta say though I watch these videos by all you guys saying that you spend all this tine waiting on women. I have spent WAY more time waiting o. my husbamd than he has waiting on me.
I like this one beautiful I agree I would used the sun room as my dining area I would move the kitchen sink not a fan of the sink in the island and in the master bath I would install a hand held shower head by the bench other than that it is awesome

I like the space. Like the In law suite. But as others say that dining room seems out of place. But I still like things home overall.
Very nice home, I've seen this layout before and I'm with you take out the carpet in the formal dining area in fact I think I'd want carpet only in bedrooms and no where else. Also yes built in blinds for the door's leading from both the Master and informal dining. Only flaw is the water heater location and no door's on the master closet remove that water heater to the laundry room behind a hinged door and you now have even a bit larger master closet and I think Pocket door's on the closet would work great. That tiled Master shower was very nice and liked the layout.
Definitely one of my favorites. I love the porches and space to move the furniture around. The floor plan is very different from the norm.

Beautiful but too many bathrooms. Would use the front area as a reading nook, dining room area as a book gallery with art. If you could eliminate the extra bathroom, I would love to have this home. Can picture it so clearly. Thank you for sharing.
This is a huge home. It have plenty of space that I love.
Love but I would remove the carpet and put ceiling fan in the living room and a beautiful light over the table and more pot lights. And the tile in kitchen gots to go because I would look for water proof vile to put throughout the house.
Ceiling fans in all the rooms. No carpet in the house. Place fancy decorative clear frosted floral plastic on some windows for privacy. Move the bathroom on the other side of the 2 small bedrooms make the 2 small bedrooms one large bedroom.

Not a fan of the window in the shower - especially as it doesn't have privacy glass.
The placement of the formal dining room is awkward to the kitchen. Need more definition between the living room, dining room, and great room..

Kinda funny seeing this show up as a new comment. This is the home Chance is doing on Saturday, base off the floor plan he teased with.. I'm guessing its from Palm Harbor there in Florida, as this was in Oregon.
I really like this home! I’d make a few little changes… I agree about the porch door in the master.. I’d also take out half of the windows in the breakfast room. Too much sun glare when trying to eat.. need one wall without windows at all. I may take the tub out of the master and extend the counter and have a vanity. Master closet needs a door.. and I hate water closets. I want my toilet in the open . I do t like the central dining room.. I’d never use it for that.. it would just be the world’s largest hallway.. I have a 2009 palm harbor triple wide home. I’m so fortunate to have bought it new in 2010 and I paid it off in 2019. I paid 1/3 of the list price for this home.

We like this one. But would reverse the linen/coat closet towards the kitchen and make it an extra pantry. We don't like the stucco walls, looks like dirt traps. But the rest of the house looks great!

Even though I love love love the master bath and closet, I can not love the entire home bcuz I wouldn’t want my formal dining room that far from my kitchen….. it looks as though it’s one BIG living room with a table/chair’s between them!!! I would have to see another floor plan for this home to make it more of a “home.” Sorry Nate!!! I love you though

I noticed that you were in Oregon when you were filming this but I’m looking for the East Coast. Would love to know?
Palm harbor is all over. Not sure if this floor plan is available in all parts of the country, but you can take the plan in and ask.

I'm adding this one to my short list. I'd probably put stair to a basement where that formal dining room is. Otherwise, I can't think of anything I'd change! This would fit perfectly on our property.

Love this house, except I do not understand the master closet in the bathroom. I do not want my clothes smelling like the bathroom. Who thought this up? Biggest turn off for me.
Most of modern house plans are like that. What I don't understand is why it has no doors.
