  • The Japiim neighborhood is a residential area located in the south-central part of the city of Manaus, capital of the state of Amazonas, in Brazil. It is a very old and traditional neighborhood of the city, which has a mix of old and modern houses.
The Japiim neighborhood is known for its privileged location, being close to several commercial, educational and leisure areas of the city, such as malls, parks and cultural centers. In addition, the neighborhood is served by several bus lines, facilitating access to other neighborhoods in the city.
Among the sights of the Japiim neighborhood, the church of São Francisco de Assis stands out, which is one of the oldest in Manaus and has a historic and imposing architecture. The neighborhood is also home to Parque do Mindu, a green area of environmental preservation that offers various leisure options for the population, such as trails, boat rides and observation of the local fauna and flora.
With regard to infrastructure, the Japiim neighborhood has a good range of services, such as supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies and restaurants. In addition, the neighborhood has several public and private schools, which makes it a good option for families with school-age children.
However, as in any big city, the Japiim neighborhood also faces some problems, such as the lack of security in some areas and the noise pollution caused by the intense vehicle traffic on its main roads.
