Business partner in SAP S4 HANA has a new feature which was initially not available in SAP R/3 and SAP ECC. The Advance version of Business Partner in SAP, you can say the Master Data Governance (MDG) in which you have full control in creation of Vendor and Customer Master Data.
In SAP S4 HANA, all transaction codes that were used for maintaining the master data of supplier / vendor, customer are now obsolete and only one transaction code BP works. All three segments of vendor and customer master data segments are now also created under the umbrella of Business Partner.
