Do you have a private butcher to help you? Can you do a video that shows us how you butcher and prepare your kill? Keep up the great work and thank you Sr. for your service‼️🤠👍🌵

I’m always kidding around, and on some hunting videos like yours, I always comment about how much I enjoyed hunting when I was able to walk through the nastiest landscape, but I comment with a twist. As an example; you guys are cruel. Why are you guys going out there killing beautiful God’s creatures… and never invite me to go along so I can kill my share?
But when people don’t finish reading the comment, people believe that I’m an anti hunter.

Im Navajo from Arizona, I respect you two for how you represent that animal & how you two as a family hunt together. I see a lot of hunters that portray animals just for trophies & they don’t represent the animal with purpose, I like how you two and other hunters like you have respect for these animals and educating people about them and what you do with them, thank you and good job on the videos. You two are true hunters and Nothing but respect for you guys. Keep up the good work and god bless🦅🙏🏽💯

Hunting is a great survival skill but also shows respect to our heritage and ancestors. Yeah, you could go to the store and pull meat off a shelf... but being able to source protein yourself... like people did when there was no store to go to, shows respect to those who came before us. Never forget where you came from.

As a gringo growing up in Pachuca, Hidalgo……I grew up eating tamales every holiday, specially during the Christmas Holidays. The family would prepare then with Chile verde sauce, mole as well as sweet..de dulce, for the kids. Look on the net for recipes on how to make pastes hidalguenses…..great snacks, specially when camping out…trust me. Buen Provecho. Cuídense.

It was extreme cold at camp when we had dinner we just laid the tamales in the coals to cook them and they were great! My favorite is pork with hatch green chilis. My vote is javelina is a pig. Thanks for the video. Now I'm hungry for some tamales.

In the vast and rugged wilderness of the southwestern deserts, there lived a family known for their culinary prowess. They had a secret recipe passed down through generations for cooking javelina, a tough and wild game found in abundance in the arid lands. However, this recipe was not for the faint of heart, as it involved a series of intricate and laborious steps.
The family gathered around their humble kitchen, ready to embark on the challenging task of preparing the javelina for dinner. First, they meticulously cleaned the javelina, removing any traces of dirt and debris. Then, they washed it in vinegar, hoping to tenderize the tough meat.
Next came the crucial step of tacking the javelina to a sturdy board. With great care, they secured the game onto the board, ensuring it would cook evenly. They slathered the meat with their signature sauce, a blend of spices and herbs passed down through the ages.
The oven preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, they carefully placed the board with the javelina inside. For the next six hours, the family anxiously waited as the tantalizing aroma of barbecue filled the air.
But their task was far from over. After six long hours, they meticulously mopped the javelina with barbecue sauce, ensuring it remained moist and flavorful. Then, they lowered the temperature to 275 degrees Fahrenheit and continued cooking for another five hours.
With each passing hour, the anticipation grew as the family eagerly awaited the moment of culinary triumph. Finally, after a total of eleven hours in the oven, they removed the javelina and soaked it in mustard, hoping to infuse it with one final burst of flavor.
Exhausted but determined, they let the javelina cool for an hour before returning it to the oven. At a low temperature of 125 degrees Fahrenheit, they baked it for an additional four hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the meat to become tender.
At last, the moment of truth arrived. With great anticipation, they pulled the javelina out of the oven and carefully untacked it from the board. But to their dismay, the meat was still tough and unpalatable.
Defeated but undeterred, the family made a decision. With heavy hearts, they threw away the javelina and turned their attention to the board. And to their surprise, the board had absorbed all the flavors from the hours of cooking, becoming a deliciously seasoned masterpiece.
In the end, while cooking javelina proved to be a challenging task, the family learned that sometimes, the most unexpected outcomes can be the most rewarding. And so, they sat down to enjoy a meal of seasoned board, savoring the fruits of their labor and the memories of their culinary adventure in the desert wilderness.

I lived in Arizona and never knew Javelina stunk. While visiting Lake Sandoval in the Amazon; a pet Javelina, Lucy, was a charming little Javelina. She loved to rub up against my legs, and she was so cute I allowed her to love me. But I was in for a surprise, afterwards I smelled like a skunk. I know that Javelina are dangerous and in Big Bend National Park I was surrounded by a herd of 24 Javelina. Luckily they didn’t tusk me. Great video, I never knew you could cook a Javelina so it was unrecognizable as to which meat it was. Keep up the videos.

Very interesting watching the whole thing from beginning to end. Loved the cooking part and never quite knew how they were made. My dad was a 101st paratrooper at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge where he lost a leg.

Great hunt! The secret to hunting javelina is to have a quality pair of binoculars and a tripod. Glass from the ridges for 30-45 minutes. If you don’t see anything, move to another spot and continue glassing. When you spot them, pay attention to the wind and stalk them exactly like you did! Nice work!!!

I truly enjoyed this video as I usually do. I appreciate the quality time spent with family. Especially your respect for nature and how Sr has passed that on to his family. Jr I was impressed when you didn’t take a shot at the sow because she had a baby with her. Much respect and appreciation to your family!!!!

That area you hunted looks very familiar. I've hunted white tail deer and javalina south of Tucson but like many I can't stand the smell so I stuck to deer. The scientists say they're peccaries but i still think they're pigs!

This is great! I’m glad y’all had a great time. I’m disabled and cannot hunt. I love venison and would leave to hunt my own meat. I’m stuck asking for others if they would bag one for me.

where i'm from hunting is a big part of life (mainly deer hunting). i'm not into hunting myself, but i have no problem with those who do hunt. i always feel sorry for the poor animal and i really don't like to gut (clean) the animal.

if you take a game meat or gamey meat - even gamey-smelling/-tasting goat ... then do this. (Personal experience) Get some balsamic vinegar. Either marinate for some hours, even overnight. The vinegar cuts the fat, and the balsamic (grape) helps kosher the meat, pulling out the gameyness, while imparting the grape sugar sweetness (and a little sweet-and-sour with the vinegar). I can cook a very lamby chop, by putting balsamic vinegar into stainless pan, simmer till just a few bubbles and misting happens. Put in the lamb chop and cook for (depending on thickness, and earlier marinating or not) 2-3 minutes, turn over and finish the other side for 1-2 minutes. Pull off and eat. It absolutely has the taste of beef - no gameyness. Was shocked to do this - and find this result and tell others with gamey pheasant, grouse, prairie chicken, prairie dog, deer, feral pig, javelina, raccoon, possum, ... and it does work !

I just finished watching your video. What a great video, and what a wonderful family. My wife and I are Avid bow hunters. We live in Prescott Valley, and we just got through with our javelina season. We were not successful but enjoyed every moment of our hunt. I started hunting javelina with a bow in my twenties. I'm now 80 and still bow hunting. I have taken at least 40 javelina, and I've enjoyed everyone. I have made them into chorizo, cooked them in a crock pot, and barbecued them.
Thank you so much for a wonderful video.
    God bless
    Earl Williams
