@@Glitchyy07 idk, feels like time eater is affecting things on time in general, but while sonic has to deal with eggman so in there, time is mostly unaffected explaning why everything looks "normal" while shadow seems like he will me in constamt pursuit of black doom the same could be responsible for distorting the locals shadow goes on, because we know little to nothing in the story there could be moments where black doom is comparing shadow to sonic showing locals and feats he has achived without shadow, thus station square, chaos island and even metal overlord were sonic's acomplishments.

In the Doom Blast section you can see Forces enemies in the background for one of the frames. So we could see Infinite in the game.
It would be interesting to see him taking out Jackal Squad. Dark, but a good past event to highlight Shadow's questionable decision making.
2:35 Sunset Heights, you can see Forces Badnicks and Platforms that are like those from that level.

Sonic generations may be fun but it feel short. and we go to the past instead of future. so Shadow is going to the future. however silver isn't mentioned by neither sonic nor shadow because diff timelines and shiz. 06 timeline and 200 future years. P-06 gave silver more powers. so sega might give him some new powers soon next two years for 06 20th anniversary

You’re definitely gonna enjoy regular generations because even if the story in that game isn’t real at all, the gameplay is absolutely peak for both classic and modern. Shadow generations is somehow gonna be even more peak.

@@MattJF21I think the switch will be able to handle regular generations because it’s an Xbox 360 game. It’ll probably have minimal graphical downgrades compared to that version. Shadow Generations on the other hand…uh get ready to burn your hands or have those graphics from frontiers on switch.
I've never played the original version either. So I'm so happy about this. Now more than ever.
Before this new trailer came out, some people have thought that any levels past Generations would not be possible, since Shadow Generations takes places around the same time as Sonic Generations.
But seeing Chaos Island being present in this game, then perhaps that the Time Eater is not only bringing in locations from the past games, but also bringing in locations that Sonic and friends have yet to explore in the near future of their adventures.

and also, it doesn't necessarily mean "near future" but "the entire future", i mean, Crisis City is a level from the future (an erased future even) and it's 200 years in the future
I wouldn't be surprised if we saw an entirely new level that nobody even knows where it belongs and it turning out to be an easter egg for a future title
This trailer is great! Shadow’s wings are also amazing. I’m assuming this will be a mechanic or transformation that he will use in his fights and maybe some levels. It’s nice that we are a little over two months away from the release of the game. I’m excited!

Chaos Island ain't that hard to figure out. Time travel story, time travel in fiction let's you go both back and forward. Established in Sonic as well specifically, you can time travel into the future in CD, the cast goes to the future in 06 and Crisis City in OG gens is also obviously the future. Crisis City alone just knocks it home, it's just a location in the future. This is also not Cyberspace, we're not exploring memories but places inside the timeline, so don't worry about "hey Shadow's never been there!", yeah, Classic Sonic hasn't been in 6 out of the 9 Gens locations either, doesn't matter.

THEORY TIME :
-Shadow is from the future (Chaos Island and Cyber City from Frontiers)
-Gerald used the Ancients technology to insert Chaos Powers onto Shadow. Also : Black Doom and Ancients meeting ?! EMERL WAS CREATED BY THE ANCIENTS ??!!
My theories
Since it's been confirmed that Shadow and Sonic's story are happening at the same time, then this is present Shadow (Shadow from generation, not Forces-Frontiers)
Crisis City is level from the future (an erased future), so Time Eater can bring levels from the past and Future
@@DaYapGuy , Black Doom is over 2000 years old, so it is entirely possible for him to have met the Ancients. Maybe that's how he learned about the Chaos Emeralds.

If you're asking "why is chaos island/starfall islands in generations?" then it's simply because Time eater can mess with future and past, e.g bad Future stardust speedway (i don't know how far in the future is that or if that future already happened, considering it's from Sonic Cd, a game from classic era) and crisis city, which is a level from 200 years in the future
So Shadow got an upgrade shadows, even more powerful than back in adventure 2 now

He has to because of how important he is to Shadows story. Also they have kingdom valley in the game and that’s where Shadow meets Mephiles for the first time. Mephiles has to at least appear as a cameo.
@FriesGuyy I think he will appear but I do want to mention that even though the story of Shadow in Sonic 06 is one of the few saving graces technically it never happened and Shadow shouldn't remember it. It would be cool if Mephiles appeared and Shadow didn't know who he was
@@SwordMaster3000Yeah it never happened but the Time Eater was able to bring back Crisis City and it’s been confirmed that some characters have a vague memory of the events of 06 (look at Blaze in Generations, she says that Crisis City feels familiar).
Well, crisis city is in the game and it's from a deleted timeline, so i wouldn't doubt

Whe eggman uses the Time Eater it affected anyone who's connected to Sonic. Their past, present and future are warped because Eggman undoes EVERY interaction he has had with Sonic and his friends. ( That includes Shadow)
That Doom Powers is intensely pretty cool looking to be used at for a trailer!
That stage you didn't know is from sonic forces yes i think shadow travels through the future or it's just jump of time like the story continues in the future and another prove for the sonic forces level is the art it's exactly from forces it's a sewer section also and there's forces robots and i love that forces levels with good level design
I’m guessing that it’s sonics memories and doom is throwing gateways in those locations to try and weaken shadow by tiring him out so he can mind control him eventually and shadows being forced to hunt down the chaos emeralds in all the locations to try and beat black doom and the reasoning why chaos islands one of them is doom is showing shadow the most dreary places to ever exist so far and chaos island is a barren wasteland that was formally bursting with life

I LOVE how his Chaos surf looks like a manta ray. Those creatures are majestic af and incredibly powerful, yet gentle.
This game just looks absolutely beautiful and it has me so hyped to play a boost style Chaos Island. Its so strange that even though Sonic Frontiers only released a little bit ago im still so excited to see Chaos Island return and THE METAL OVERLORD BOSS. Its gonna be so hype Shadow taking down this monster alone. Just for a little bit of a reference... It took about 12 heroes to take on Metal Overlord AND THEN 3 Supers. Shadow is doing this SOLO. Whether or not he uses the chaos emeralds here... He might be stronger than even Sonic at this point (base form at least).

I love how they implimented these doom abilities...and some people seem to be confused by it like it's some corruption. (not saying that is happening in this video) but it just reminds me how I played shadow the hedgehog more than people may want to (and enjoyed it by the way. I'm one of the few) and I just remember how shadow was made using black doom's dna...that means shadow always had these "doom powers" but they were locked away and untapped till now. I love it. and these powers are amazing
If you think about it, the Time Eater goes through time in general, it was never restricted to the past. Eggman just used it in Sonic Gens to undo his old defeats. I really wanna know how they’re gonna write Shadow with Chaos Island, which he never visits. Also with this, INFINITE REDEMPTION BOSS WHEN?

My guess is that either Mephiles is helping with the time travel shenanigans (since he was able to go forward and backward in time in 06) or that this is showing times where the Time Eater breaks free from the control of the Eggmen (or is it Eggmans?) for a short period of time.
5:09 Shadow is getting stages based on future events to compensate for not having a classic self who is experiencing their own future the same way that classic Sonic & Tails are.
And also because Shadow has only starred in 6 games with major canonical influences since his debut with only four of them being home console titles that took place before vanilla Generations.

I think the black arms are gonna have a connection to the ancients in sonic frontiers because alot of footage from the trailer show very familiar locations from frontiers. That means this game might be building off the foundations of frontiers and the hub world might be similar to the open zones islands in frontiers since there were rings in the hub and it was huge, not to mention the levels are probably taking inspiration from frontiers in terms of control scheme and gameplay control. This game also might be taking place after the 1st generations since we saw Forces badniks. Sonic Frontiers was what they can do Shadow Generations is what they should do
For level beats, here’s all I could find level aesthetics wise:
The first level at 0:23 is either Pyramid Cave(SA2) or Dusty Desert(06)
0:24 is pretty hard to make out but from other footage at 0:30 and 0:39, I can confidently say that SUNSET HEIGHTS FROM SONIC FORCES is in this game.
Chaos island was pretty obvious from the footage and for some reason has the most footage in this trailer along with the hub world.
There’s multiple radical highway levels shown which means it’s not just part of the Space colony ark level.
At 1:13 there’s a clip with Shadow dodging a water tornado. At first I thought this was radical highway again, but I think it might actually be speed highway/Station Square due to the water and resemblances to it.
That confirms to us that there’s at least 7-8 different level areas.
The new voice for Black Doom sounds almost like Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget. Sounds pretty cool
I remember In Sonic frontiers the master koco told Sonic that he reminds him of someone he used to know. Maybe he was talking about Shadow and Shadow traveled to the past somehow. Time travel is a plot device with Sonic x Shadow Generations. I don't know. I'm just speculating here.
This game looks so super awesome!!!!! Oh my God!!!! The hype is so real!!! Everything about this trailer looks so amazing!!! The Doom Powers look so amazing!!!! It looks like you can hit switches with enemies using doom blast cause that’s the thing that’s summons those wind (or water) rails.
On one of the shots where Shadow is kicking one of the Black Arms soldiers, you can see a Buzz Bomber which has the Sonic Forces design. We've never seen that weird marble looking hall anywhere in Forces, so maybe they're just further exploring one of the levels?

This trailer is amazing! The doom powers are very interesting and I look forward to using them in game. Hopefully they’ll be useful in alternate paths/extra stages. It kinda sucks how we don’t have the classic Chaos powers like chaos blast, chaos lance, etc. but this is a very unique take on Shadows powers and hopefully they’re used very well.
Theory, there’s not two characters for shadow, but Chaos ability shadow and doom ability shadow

Hmmm, never thought I needed Shadow VS Metal Overlord. It's essentially a test between the two greatest creations of Gerald and Eggman. And it also works to Shadow's personal growth because Sonic by this time was fighting Perfect Chaos without a Super form, and taking on the Egg Dragoon without werehog.

Some of these powers give me vibes to Wisp powers. Which is ironic because Archie made 4 Wisp/Black Arms hybrids as weapons for Eclipse the Darkling, aka Shadow’s “brother” in a sense.
1:26 1:40 1:50 These are the best parts of the game I swear on my life but my favorite part is the doom wing, my boi Shadow can fly and I think the first stage was probably Water Palace or the main hub.

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed Sonic and Shadow's stories are at the same time. And since Eggman is going through time with the time eater it isn't Sonic or Shadow's past or future that matters. Rather the stages in both sides come from Eggman's entire timeline. His past and even places he will eventually see in the future.
They should of made him a Doom sword where one of his hands turn into a sword

Crisis City was 200 years in the future of a timeline that technically doesn't exist. If Time Eater could bring that back, Chaos Island is nothing
