@@HardCold-Alquan In fact, after 'The Ethics' he was part of another super great soul group, Love Committee' ... Just go and check out the song 'If You Change Your Mind' by them, pure genius. Of which, he co-wrote that again with legendary producers/writers/arrangers Allan Felder and Norman Harris... Even if you read the story of the Manhattans' record deals in the early 80's. Ron Tyson's name kept on pitching up as a guy who linked certain people up and linked certain deals in favour of the Manhattans, etc... The man is a legend, hence it was fitting that his late brother David Tyson eventually became a Manhattans himself.

What's not to LOVE about this song, and this performance?!?!? It's got that great late '60s-early '70s sound you never hear anymore---in that Intruders-Delfonics groove.....just slick, smooth, radio-friendly, and just cool........Larry Washington's bass,
Vince Montana's vibes......the string sounds of Thom Bell........it's all there. When music was.......well, MUSIC!! Just simply cannot get enough of this song........

I also love the early 70's greats like Blue Magic, O'Jays and the Stylistics. Philly Soul had its popularity/record sales hey day in the 70's, but their 60's doo-wop roots are my favorite part of Philly Soul history and had an impeccable influence even into the disco era, of which Philly Soul was also a large part.

Unfortunately. But those Brothers have their own message. However less romantic or inarticulate. Though strides have been made, in many ways it's a harsher world today with diminished values and the music simply reflects it. I wish it were not so. More reason to promote the classic "Real" music to our shorties to keep it alive and as a reminder of what we once were and can be again.

wow, I've always loved the phila sound of the early mid 60-s thru the early 70-s, the sapphires, delfonics, intruders, intrigues, etc - but never heard this one. Great sound, loved it on first listen - thanks for adding!

Being from the Philly area, this song brings back a certain feeling from those days that's simply embodied in the sound - and it's a rewarding feeling. Excellent tune and I like the choreography. These guys worked to get it down just like the Motown groups did. On another Hy Lit show video, there's the Destinations singing their local hit, I Can't Leave You. which was also a very nice presentation o the Phily sound, but they needed to get their choreography a bit more polished. It takes some practice to get it where it needs to be, but in fairness, they were standing on a relatively small platform.
