I have never been on drugs, or in trouble with the law, and did graduated from high school. Never once has he spoken encouragingly to me. Even now, more then 20 years after his dead, I have no idea why my father hated me so much. Believe me, I can imagine how Dwayne felt because he thought his father rejected him. BUT, this is more as a ODE to Dwayne, and I love it. He is a big fellow with a gigant heart.

Exacts! The WWE was literally going to get rid of him, and putting him in the NOD was a last ditch throwaway effort. Funny how when he acknowledged his black heritage, he became a star. What did he do once he became a star? Went right back to acknowledging his Samoan heritage and ignoring his black heritage. He was once an amazing start, but now he just rests on his past accomplishments and is no where near as entertaining as he once was. Rock used to be so naturally charismatic, but now everything is so forced. As far as his acting goes, he plays the same character in every role.

I think I was different from my upbringing. The damage my parents gave me I promised myself I was going to be nothing like them and my children were never going to feel my pain. I have 2 kids and our relationship is actually amazing. Feel like I done something right from all the wrong

The Rock has his flaws , but he has more restraint than some of the other giants in the industry. The Rock got me into watching WWF, and he became a figure I looked up to. I even learned how to raise my eyebrow the way he did. As a person I might not relate to his character in many ways, but he did play a role in my childhood with his charisma. If there's one thing I can relate with him, is his love for his mother. Dwayne has a great relationship with both his parents, and many colleagues admired him for what he has done for them. He isn't Keanu Reeves or anything, but the guy is more than capable of showing genuine appreciation for his fans and those close to him.

The Rock's darkside story is more like how to overcome adversitiy in life.
Best take away I have from this is his determination and above all being a professional
