I remember first finding MajorSlack through his Far Cry 2 walkthrough back when I was in high school. Here I am now 12 years later and still watching. Still remember the catch phrase you used of “Don’t shoot till you see the whites of their eyes”. Thank you for all the great content you’ve made through the years!

Lastly, these kinds of runs really challenge the player to get creative with a very limited pool of resources.

One more vote to see a mod video. It could literally be a 1-2 hour unedited and unfiltered ramble through the modlist, I'd watch it.
Start of every series is my favorite part of each series it's always so funny and i think pure orc and pure high elf are funniest ones
while I understand the deserved hate behind the AE edition, I'd argue it's now the best way to play vanilla skyrim as it provides mods that give you unique gear that can actually compete with enchanting/crafting, and it is totally possible to play a melee build without having to craft on legendary difficulty now.

Also just out of curiosity have you ever considered playing a Werewolf build/walkthrough? (Hope you do as I'm curious why it is better or worse then say a Vampire Lord and haven't really see a "Real Walkthrough" on it)
That said I for one loved both your Vampire walkthroughs (especially the Vampire Lord one) as I found them very informative.

As another geezer gamer (I believe I'm actually a few months older than the Major), I would appreciate a mods video, maybe even with a link to some kind of tutorial on how to get started with Nexus mods.
Also, even though Slack has explained ad nauseum why a pure Argonian build on Legendary difficulty is impossible, I would find a video of him putting a smack down on all of the trolls who think otherwise very entertaining.😄 But I totally understand if Slack is tired of talking about this issue and would rather spend his effort on other stuff. Whatever he does, it will be entertaining.
I've been playing this game for 12 years and I didn't know selling food to Katla gets you a free horse. I'll have to start doing that.
Counts as doing a quest 4, wich makes you friendly. From wich point you can take most of there stuff for free, including a horse.
Or sacrifice them to boethia/mephala wichever you prefere.
@@axelhens7831 yeah I knew about it counting as a quest and becoming friendly so you can take stuff, I just didn't know you'd get horses for free that way. I've never actually sold ingredients to Katla so I had no idea lol

It's a "borrowed" horse, so when you ride somewhere and get off, it won't wait for you. It will start heading back home.

Happy to see Skyrim again and your explanation on why you changed the channel's focus makes so much sense, thanks for explaining it in a way my dumb ass can understand. Also 100% agree on your take on mods. I have way more, but I look for certain things in my mods. The JK's set and SkyUI are my two mandatory mods, so much so that I put them on my Steam Deck version as well. Everything else is all flavor and personal game style, but having a clean menu and beautiful cities and landscapes is really the way I continue to enjoy a game that's reaching middle school at this point. JK's individual mods for the interior cell shops are great, but holy crap does it take absolutely forever to get them downloaded, installed, and tested, good call on only using the exterior mods. That 2 days of work timeframe would have turned into 4 or 5.

I am SO glad this series is back, you were going through all the races and quit before my absolute favorite, I'd given up hope, but stayed subscribed just on the dream of maybe one day. And then here it is, FINALLY, the walkthrough of my dreams, ( I know I'm commenting 4 days late, but I promise you I've watched every episode within 4 hours of posting. ) Today is the day that I'm figuring out the mods and editions to start my own epic pure Redguard. This time at least gently guided by the best player of this game that I know off. I've clocked around 3000 hours on Skyrim but I have no where near the knowledge you do, and every walkthrough in Skyrim you've shown has taught me new tricks and new approaches to the game. May Skyrim last forever, and may the last stalwart defender of the old school walkthrough have an equally long career. You have our gratitude Rob, some of us remember the times of "guide.chm" and the pain and suffering that came with it, it is great to see you finish this series.

Alternate Start - Live Another Life - SSE is a mod everyone should have so you don't have to do the damn vanilla start in Helgen. Great for roll playing as well, so you don't always have to come up with a reason you got caught jumping the border.
also great for never doing the main quest and just becoming OP without shouts
Its essential lmao tho i also like Cheat room, it helps with bugged out quests or for experamenting with builds by dropping the grind

@@kennis265 I used a lot of Alteration to generate a decent mage armor rating and then mixed up all the offensive skills equally. Having no armor was pretty tough!
This is great to see. I've played Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim a total of eight times, but never as a Redguard, so I'm excited to watch this! (And I'm glad I'm old enough to get the Pummela Greer pun)

About the pure Argonian, I know, I know, hear me out. Argonians get bonus unarmed damage, so punching things should be allowed. Punch things for the Companions until they make you a werewolf. Continue punching things as a furry until you're done. Also alteration armor spells might work in werewolf form I'm not sure I don't use werewolf much.
Ure right bro. Wolf plus alteration makes an excelent build.
You can also get the Poison Rune spell as a main source of damage.
Getting to that rune spell is a pain in the butt however, as you'll want a Storm Atronach staff and a follower, not counting the fact you'll have to use these things to get funds to level Restoration.
@@romkin1197 For Poison Rune you just need to level Restoration and kill the Ash Guardian. As I explained in the other comment, you can kill the Ash Guardian by luring other creatures to it and then watch them fight.

To all the haters and pedants, yes Speech isn't one of the Redguard skills...but it's a typical exception because you can't sell without leveling it up. []

Legendary has unrealistically resiliant hostiles. No bandit should be able to tank 10 fireballs to the face.

Did you know that all carriages go EVERYWHERE in the base game. Albeit "cut content".
"Carriage and Ferry Travel Overhaul" mod number: 8379 on the Nexus, restores full carriage travel. Has a patch for JK's Skyrim also.
Hey Slack, you might enjoy the open cities mod, just makes the cities with gates open up to the map rather than have a seperate load zone. Never seen it break stuff but thought you might find it better when moving into places.

You would be suprised at how much fun the pure Argonian playstyle can be. Although it wouldn't make for a great long form series so I get it.
