  • In this, our first Parent Traditio of the year, Pastor Doug Wilson joins us to answer the question, "Yes, Christian. Why Classical?" Pastor Wilson's ministry has been far reaching, and he is one of the foremost leading thinkers on Classical Christian Education. He reignited the Classical Christian School movement with his penning of Reclaiming the Lost Tools of Learning and The Case for Classical Christian Education , and he helped found Logos School, the Association of Classical Christian Schools and New Saint Andrews College. He is a delight, and we think you'll find his presentation to be extremely helpful and enlightening.

If you'd like to better realize the causes and path we've been on with education in our country ---Read/Listen to "The Battlefield For The American Mind". If there is a child you care about and care about their future know what David and Pete put in this book. I listened to it several times now and I responded with anger and felt depressed UNTIL I read the last part of the book that spells out the ACTION that IS happening and I CAN DO! GREAT!

Agreed. Battle for the American Mind is a great resource, and it inspired the Fox documentary, "The MisEducation of America." It is well worth checking out if you have not already. We also have another video with David Goodwin where he shared his research and held a short Q&A MC’d by Trinitas’ very own, now recently graduated, Claire McNeill. czcams.com/video/BKyHhNAix90/video.html

I'm quite enjoying Doug's presentation as I usually do until he mangled the name of the chief craftsman of the tabernacle and it's vessels. The correct pronounciation is Beh-tzal-el.

Because its a legal requirement. But since they are required to sign a statement of faith, their children can be expelled for breaking it.
Homeschooling is still a better long term system.

@@junkerjorg6310 We do classical Christian homeschool. However, I'm curious to hear why you think it's better long-term that a classical Christian prep school. Thoughts?

100%. Luther is already a symptom of the problem. It makes no sense for me for folks attempt a classical, historically-rooted Western education and NOT become Catholic.
      Catholicism IS Western civilization.
