This run is more than a month old but because of an inactive mod. The +/- section in livesplit is mistakenly comparing against a different older run of mine.
Not quite. As long as you are in a very low deficit situation, you are actually maximizing your growth. Any extra energy(say from collectors turning on) will immediately bet turned into more packets and not enter storage(where it is not immediately helping you grow). In these games, you want to be as close to the border of resource starvation, ideally in a slight deficit. Ignore the deficit counter/bar(it merely counts how many "packets" you have missed and will always increment slowly if you are doing things right). Use the disparity between the generation and consumption to inform your self how well you have balanced things.
Likely not worth it. The speedrunner is trying to go for growth of his network over packet speed. The 40 packets that each speed module takes up will slow him down(in the same time he could build 4 collector(increase network size and power gen), 2 relays(increase network coverage to key areas now), a blaster with some ammo, or a nearly completed mortar). Compare those advantages to the slight speed increase of the packets and there is not much use for such a speed increase. The only time something like the speed module would be useful is if you have a massive network distance(and can not move Odin City) and have to stay there for a while(for some reason).
Love the moment at 10:10 where you use the Blaster as a connector to the rest of your network
I messed up but managed to save it.
Creeper World 1 systems be like:
This guy would be a terrible leader with the amount of deficit he has collected.

Ever thought about adding speed modules, or are you pushing deficit so hard constantly they just wouldn't be worth?

How do you not know to use relays? You waste so much time
