I’ve lived in the area my whole life. We drank the water, literally because we had no idea. We swam in the river. Some fished out of it. The amount of people who have cancer in this area is outrageous. We dubbed it Chemical Valley. I have thyroid disease and consider myself lucky. It makes me feel seen that Bailey talked about this.

I am. I live in Washington County and have since the 80’s. I drove past DuPont every day. There’s so much more to this story. DuPont has chemicals buried underground that are still leaking. The land can’t be built on. Lots of job opportunities have been lost because of it.

I was born in West Virginia and grew up in Ohio. I still live here, so there's that, in addition to most likely being affected by their products. I have been chronically ill my entire life and the doctors have never been able to get to the bottom of it completely. So, who knows? Maybe I am being affected by a chemical that a corporation is mishandling/misusing. I do have chemical hypersensitivity. Anyway.... @MOSMASTERING Před 2 lety

      100% there is.
Many of these forever toxic chemicals used in manufacturing are neurotoxic
My dad ran his own company in the 90s making circuit boards for technology like phones and satellites.. He used to stay an extra hour after the day ended to go round and finish all the stuff the workers never did. He's ask them to cover the chemical vats or wash the work benches - whatever it was.. and they'd always forget something. While he was working there his personality changed pretty dramatically and although he h is unemployed, he was properly diagnosed and has had ever worsening Alzheimer's for the last 10 years. He aloe lost his sense of smell 20 years ago. I don't think they were particularly exotic chemicals, but breathing them in at the end of every day appears to have some sort of link between chemicals and health. His staff were all fine by the way. They had adequate protection and fume cupboards, he just walked around and finished up for an hour every day and likely never protected himself.

same here in Denmark at Duponts plant in Grindsted. Many of the workers of the plant got I'll with Alzheimers. It's a small town with 10.000 residents, and it has offered jobs to the most of the residents in the town. The plant had dumped a lot of chemical sewage for decades as well as they did in the States. It's now one of our countrys biggest and worst environmental pollutions. The danish state is the only who takes responsibility to clean it up. We don't have money for this we don't even know the exactly price for it yet because it's so comprehensive the pollution.
In Denmark last year we also got the breaking news about some residents that have been sharing and eating some ecological farmed cattles, have extremely raised levels of the pfoas in their blood levels. They investigated this problem and quickly learned that these cattles got poisoned by the water they drank in their field. It was sewage water from a nearby firefighter department. They used to use pfoas chemicals in the foam fire extinguishers until it became illegal to do so in 2011. Thanks to this very dedicated lawyer and farmer family i think so🥰 now they just found it in our drinking water all over our little country. These "foreverchemicals" as they're called here, should really be taken for serious. Btw the Dupont plant in Grindsted is still working today, but they handle their waste correct now. So they say... But I am angry over the fact that they are not going to pay for the upcleaning but still they operate the plant.. Thank you for your lovely new dark history videos and especially for focussing on this one❤️

I am THRILLED that you chose to report this story. Working in environmental chemistry I have seen the levels of PFAS/PFOA in drinking water, storm runoff, wastewater and more. Although I cannot disclose the areas or levels, I can say with confidence that many popular products contain PFAS or PFOA. If a product doesn't have one, it usually has the other. The stain prevention coating on carpet, pots/pans, flame retardant clothing and products, static prevention spray, water resistant clothing, fire extinguishers and of course the product you stated. Collecting a sample for testing comes with a list of things the environmentalist cannot wear to collect the sample - certain sunscreens, deodorant/antiperspirants, bug sprays, etc. Anything that leaves a coating really could contaminate the sample. There are SO many products that are a danger to all. If you see foam collecting in the corner of a body of water, don't swim there. Thanks for letting everyone know, Bailey!

Something similar happened in nc where I live, close to Fayetteville. No one has been able to drink their tap water or use their shower without a filtration system for years because of dupont. A man's cows even died because of it. That place is horrible.

So, so proud of Bailey! She’s got so many sponsors in this, I love knowing she’s being paid more for the excellent videos she puts out. She’s worked so hard to make her channel this wonderful, and it’s heartwarming to see how successful she is now. I hope her audience continues to grow because she deserves it. Bailey looks incredible and so does her set, all of this is so professional and beautiful looking but still has Bailey’s individuality and character shining through, it’s just wonderful to see how far she’s come.
Also love the no makeup ad reads, Bailey is still gorgeous with or without makeup but it’s still nice seeing a woman be confident in herself and remind us that we are all beautiful whether we have makeup on or not.
I don’t know I just really enjoyed watching this and I’m proud of Bailey and excited for the next video she puts out!
