This was how my dad showed me CZcams. I couldn't believe there was a site you could go to, and basically find any visual media you've ever seen or wanted to see, any recorded performance of a band, any music video, average everyday folk posting their craft, art, comedy, thoughts. I don't know if people born after youtube can really understand what a "golden ticket" feeling that was.
Perhaps they will experience their own golden ticket in the future after another major breakthrough, such as being able to experience whatever you can imagine through a VR-world
When I discovered CZcams 18 years ago when it launched, I was hooked. I don’t know if I’ve gone a day in my life without watching CZcams videos since then
but there was videos via filesharing, before and besides youtube, already.. the great new thing was video combined with commenting, that was a re-birth of social media, like 30 years after usenet, and some years after good old AOL..

I’m soooo happy I saved this video way back then when it first came out. I’m scrolling through my page and found this in my favorites. Still one of the best. It feels so heartwarming to think I was part of the uprise of CZcams, seeing all of the ACTUAL og. Sooo cool.
Not even being sarcastic. I remember about two years ago when everyone was shitting on CZcams for bad algorithms. I can now say it has certainly come a long, long way in that regard. It's excellent now.

I remember watching this probably 8 years ago, and it was taken down at some point after that for copyright (funtwo is the guy playing guitar and this channel stole his video off of some Korean site 14 years ago). After a while he let it get put back up because I guess he realized how cool it was for one of his video to have over 90 million views. Anyway I'm guessing all the old comments got deleted for that reason.

This "shred over Cannon in D" was a super popular thing back in like 2008. Oddly enough, it seemed to be the first wave of the return of technical guitar playing as well as the return of the superstrat.
Imagine watching this as a little kid, moving away from CZcams, and then coming back to it and finding this in your recommended. CZcams has truly changed in the last 14 years.

@TheGamerGauntlet It's not awfully hard to play for sure. The thing is it is not so easy as well. Unlike having so much resource nowadays, back in the day with being a kid to record a near-perfect performance is just incredible. Should give full credit for that.

I don't know why but this makes me well up. Canon in D is beautifully melancholic as it is, but I suppose this video reminds me of my mid teen years learning guitar and using CZcams during its infancy. How glorious it all was =').

I remember watching this 14 years ago. Felt so inspired. Bought my neighbour’s electric guitar. Learned absolutely nothing. Sold it again 4 weeks after. I don’t master patience.

Unlike having so much resource nowadays, back in the day with being a kid to record a near-perfect performance is just incredible.

I remember watching this video years ago as a kid on CZcams in the early years this and many other videos inspired me to learn to play I'm still not that good but been playing guitar on and off for years now it's a great hobby if nothing else. Good work.
