I love how simple the riff is. Just 4 Power Chords in Drop C; 4th Fret, 6th Fret, Open Note, then 2nd Fret. It still kicks ass to this day

Man this takes me back like 20 years ago when a friend burnt me this CD and it quickly became one of my "go to" jams. after all these year i totally forgot about this song and i just found it again. The waves of nostalgia thinking about the days of cruising around smoking weed, no cell phones, no social media, just people kicking it!

Saw them in Atlanta with Hoobastank. They were my faves at the time, had to throw away my concert tee and the cds unfortunately. Do miss it though, brings back memories.

This is actually the second version of this song. There's an original recording from 2000 and a remastered version from 2002. And this sounds so badass. Guitars are heavier and tge sound in general is clearer. I always wanted this one in my CD Collection.

I think everyone has come up with this riff in their early teens, it's just the Lost Pedos were the only ones dumb enough to use it. This song is utter garbage.

Such a talented band and even ian himself was talented. A shame to see him throw it all away.
This is the version of this song that still gives me the chills. It's powerful.
And listen, people: none of us are without sin. Nobody condones any atrocities from anyone. But this isn't about a man or his indiscretions... It's about the song. It's still good. Just enjoy music and detach it from the artist. So many things we enjoy are created by flawed humans (like us) or maybe even shitty people. Doesn't mean the art isn't strong.

@@thehobojarpen i mean dude's not wrong though, while yes his crimes are EXTREMELY hard to detach from the music itself don't forget there are other band members who worked extremely hard on this as well who unfortunately had their careers basically ruined or "tainted" from his actions, just because his crimes are absolutely horrible and unspeakable doesn't mean you still can't enjoy the music for what it is i don't see ANYONE (as you would say) "downplaying" the gravity of his actions.

The first 2 albums are still great. Ian started to act weird and his addictions took over around the 3rd, so listen to the first too and imagine the band split

I completely love this band so much! It makes it unbelievably awkward to listen to them when you grew up with a crush on Ian... Dark times indeed.
Well it's awkward now sure but at the time if he offered to fuck you then you'd likely not say no. Used to always have tons of 13 year old girls following him around after concerts that's where it all started for him. Once he was bored of his teenage groupies he wanted younger. It is a shame that their music is soiled by what happened with one guys ego trip and power games but many bands have been ruined with insanity the other lads are still making music.

Their music is only soiled if you refuse to identify that a single person doesnt account for a whole band. I still love them so much. After hearing that Lee smashed his platinum Liberation Transmission disc, I'm gutted for him because he put just as much love and effort into the music as every other member. No matter what, they should be proud. Even Ian. Even if he is a C%#*... And i would have totally said no. im shyer than a selective mute haha. im 24 now and still the same way. Probably would have giggled though I wont lie. I quite like no devotions stuff. Stay is an awesome tune. I say long live their music! Even if its only that I make others feel unconfortable and judgy haha.
