Here's A Video Of Fiberglass Supplies To Get When Fiberglassing czcams.com/video/spw6BGPdjbg/video.html
This dude literally recorded the video with one hand while Working on the tank and made the video 30 minutes covering every step... one of the best step by step videos I’ve ever watched thank you brother
Thanks for the encouraging words 🤝
That’s the first time I ever saw spray foam used! It turned out really good
No one else in the house can figure out why I was just sitting here for half an hour watching dented motorcycle tank porn. Really nice work!
Thanks David
Watched your video a couple weeks ago trying to find ideas for how to fix a dent in my tank that also was deep and creased. I had to stop back by and thank you for putting this up! I am following the same steps and have to say that the results have been fantastic! Thanks for helping me out and great work!!
7 years late but.. This video is as straight-forward as they get. This gave me the confidence to give fiberglass a try for myself and just with watching the video through it was all the help you could ask for. Thanks
Appreciate you
If you look up the word "Craftsmanship" in the dictionary, they should have your name. This is the most incredible work I've ever watched. Couldn't stop watching your videos on repairing this motorcycle! I tried painting the front fairing on my 2014 Indian Chieftain and after painfully messing it up, I found your videos. Wish I had even a small portion of your talent. Absolutely fantastic work. You should be proud.
Gerry your compliment is very inspiring. That's why I do it. I really appreciate that.
Great job man, you've given me the inspiration to tackle mine.
Cheers from Ireland
Never thought of using spray foam as a filler. Great idea. Looks like some wicked-good paint stripper you are using. Another great job!
Thanks for the support
Great job man!! This is exactly what I was looking for! I just got all my materials. Wish me luck !
Ok....Let me know how it turn out Moises Cadiz
I cant believe you got that tank contour so close on the first try!!! Wow. Well done.
Appreciate you
Im glad i found your channel. I am a 64 year old cancer patient. My main ride wasa zrx1100 until i got sick and had to retire. Recently my son gave me the honda vtr250 interceptor. Your demeanor is very similar to his. He is a bmw/ktm/honda/royal enfield/triumph certified tech...with a great art gift like yours. His gift to me and finding your channel are an amazing blessing! Keep up the great work!
Oh...i still have the zrx1100...hoping to ride it again one day.
That is one hell of a tank rescue bro! Excellent work.
Hi again, another great job my friend. Keep thinking outside the box. Thirty years in custom auto body work and I never get tired of watching.
Thanks again Larry....I don't have thirty years in it but I've had knowledge of it for 20 years...I went to trade school in 1996 and graduated but I didn't get back into it until 2014 as a hobby on my cars
in the old days we used compressed air.love your work.
I just wanted to say, that I tried this and it worked great. Thanks for the video.
That foam is a cool trick! Never would have thought of that, pretty slick trick! Looks like it'll turn out amazing man!
Thanks Gary....you can form up anything with a little foam and fiberglass....thanks
Good stuff man. I did this on a fuel tank and it worked nicely. Well done.
The things you can do man is unbelievable!! Keep the videos coming
Thanks for watching and supporting the things I do...
Thats amazing bro... You seriously take a lot of pride in your work!
Thanks man
Hey man, thanks for the great videos and the time you take to make them and explain everything. Salut from Romania !
Love your work and creativity. Keep up going through the whole process of this motorcycle.
Ok thanks....I'm gonna have a vid of the whole process
I always enjoy your videos. For sure one of (if not) the best on CZcams. Super clean body line!!
Thanks John...glad I got you as a supporter...LOYAL
You brought that tank back to life good job brother
Thank you Gods' Image
Bro you have the best videos. Keep this shit up man!
I was just thinking about using fiberglass to repair the tank on my GSXR and didn't know if it would work. Now i know it can. Damn man, good job.
Yes it'll work..check out the finish job all painted three months later czcams.com/video/uXcj15AJZ8U/video.html
Just another great example of "thinking out of the box" with a fantastic result. Can't wait to see the finale.
Yea, it's always different ways you can go about getting the job done the right way...or should I say the SprayWay....lol ....thanks
Like always enjoy seeing ur vids fam 👍👍
Thanks Rob
🔥🔥🔥 I gotta say I wasn’t expecting that. Great work!
That's a good way to take care of a situation like that. I wish you would have posted this a month ago. I had a passenger side rocker panel creased to deep to pull out , even with a stud welder. I had to cut out the top part and make a special tool for my air hammer and knock it out from the inside. It worked great but look at the time it took making the special tool and welding the cut out plate back! Man, this looks the way to go for me in the future in this particular situation ..... Your body work and shaping looked good too ! Keep up the good work .... Thanks for posting...
Thanks Phillip.... When you got a situation on hand...it's all kinds of ways you can go by to get the job done...you just gotta weigh out the options...that's time and money...that's why I went this route.....thanks once again
Damn good job! Thanks for the videos they really help out.
You know it ain't no problem at all..,. Thanks
that is a good idea for a deep one because sometimes you just cant push it out with a paintless dent removal bar. thick plastic would fall off or kitty hair. using the foam to build it out would definitely work
Wow, that is very interesting. Thanks for your video.. I love do DIY jobs on my vehicles, I got an harley tank with a big dent, now I'll try to copy your way to fix it with foam and fibre glass resin. I'll update you. Cheers
Thanks 🙏🏾
You clever man! Amazing job, well done! I know this will sound stupid but you'd make a fantastic cake decorator too! First video I've watched from start to finish in a long time. Cheers
That repair turned out great and I learned something, thanks!
Glad you liked it....we all learn from each other....thanks
awesome work dude seriously live the vids. I wasn't gonna use the spray foam, was gonna use two part. I don't wanna buy a new tank the one I got has absolutely nothing wrong with but the nasty dent in it. but u do amazing work bud. keep it up

Excellent video!
Thanks Dave
That foam trick is neat bro I think I have some small holes to fill with that foam it than applied the resin over the dime size holes. Haha I think you just found me a way to fill those holes.
Damn I need to do this to mine, can I get a list of all the materials and tools you used for this?
Best fix i ever seen...
You just saved me a grand 🤗
Man awesome job on the repair work and the paint. I have only heard of this, but many people have told me to put water in the tank, and freeze it. The water expands naturally when frozen and some people even said it came out perfect and needed no body work afterwards. Your tank may have needed a few times in the freezer, but worth a try before what seemed like a lot of work. what do you think.
Damn good job my boi 👍🏾
Thanks man.... Appreciate you
A1 fam as always...hands down one of the best...need to bring the box chevy 2 u...u in alabama
Yea bro...I'm in North Alabama....Decatur
Hey bro great video
Awesome video mane surfboard method work out great too. good stuff mane.
Thanks Angel....
You just put foam over it to cover the holes? Wont the gas just eat away at the foam and the fiberglass?
No it’s still holding up
Wouldn’t you be able to hammer it from the inside or nahh?I have a similar dent I’m tryin to tackle
No you can’t
Awesome work bro. Wish you had your shop in Nyc.
Thanks for the support Carlos Sevilla
seriously brother, you got some skills
Thanks bro...appreciate you
got damn bro u is the truth when it comes to this body work glad im learning from a great
Appreciate you bro...you making it do what it do yourself
Do you apply the paint remover with a rag or soemthing ? how did you stop it from tearing up the resin/fiberglass ? the tape was enough ?
It didn't effect it. I was worried at first myself
@@SprayWayCustoms 🙇🏿♂️🙇🏿♂️ copy thanks for the help. You just pour it on ?
So I have a similar dent on my motorcycle tank and want to try this method but my real question is would this work on a larger scale? I have a 93 chevy s10 and there is a massive dent in the rear quarter panel (the metal is way to thick to pull the dent out I tried and failed) but would foam and fiber glass work on a 3 foot by 2 foot area without becoming to stressed and failing?
It'll work but it'll be better and a lot easier to pull it out the best you can first and then just use filler on the rest of it.
@@SprayWayCustoms thank you (:
Great repair, a lot of skill there.
Yea....it's quite a bit of time in it too...lol... Thanks
When hit the edges with the hammer, and right before he put the foam...what did he put on the tank it looked gray?
James, I put Lacquer Thinner to clean it off. You could use Wax N Grease Remover. I think that's what you were preferring to
yeah your right its just the glares and the lacquer that made it look like putty sanded down.
bro, pro job. i knimow this video is old but how much do you c h arge for this type of specific dent
Appreciate the comment. It all depends. I did the complete paint job
what brand of paint stripper do you use?
that tank lookin smooth.
thanks James
top job mate
Thanks Kurt VLAANDEREN
can't wait to see the color you paint it
I can't wait to put some color on it myself.....appreciate you
You're such a cool guy! I wish we lived closer you could teach me some awesome stuff! Keep up the awesome work
awesome work as always
Thanks bro.... How the BassVan coming
brother you know how it is sometimes with these projects you fix one thing then it's another thing right know i am going to put a new water pump on while i'm at it i'm gonna change all the belts but first i gotta get pass this crazy ass weather we been having lol
getn it in! great job
Thanks man
mad skills bro
Thanks Eric
Awesome idea , What Brand of spray foam did you use and is it still doing good is this 6 years ago?
It was Titan I believe. It still looks great
You have some great skills man. I'm in the process of repairing my tank. Going to weld on some post and pull the dents and then use bondo. Have you had any experience with this method?
Don't do it....might make a hole.....💨💨💨
Awesome job brother, you are a hell of a body man. I am glad I found this vid, I have a tank on a R1 with a similar dent and I was about to slap it full of bondo til I saw this. I see your foam is orange, the only spray foam I have used is a whitish yellow, does this require a special kind of foam? Thanks and great video.
No it don't require any special type foam...you just trying to build it up so you'll be able to lay a thin layer of filler....glad I could be some help to you
Good job by the way
Hi great video. I like your attention to detail when prepping👌👊
Could you please tell me what’s the music playing at the beginning of this video.
Thanks Kev from the 🇬🇧 UK
What time stamp you referring to on the music?
As soon as the video starts. What tune is that. You play a few times.
It's In Da Car Instrumental by The Rich Kidz
SprayWayCustoms nice one bro 👌👊👊
How much would it cost to get this done?
never seen this method, but you made it happen, tuning in for the wet wet, quick questions was the primer epoxy or 2k?
I never seen it done either CJ but since I been working with fiberglass I figured you can form up anything ....I sprayed epoxy first
