- We now have a FREE FSR 3.0 Frame Generation Mod and I'm going to show you how to install it to Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam Deck SteamOS. This is a Free Mod so I don't see why you wouldn't do this. Share to your friends if they are playing this game on the Steam Deck!

What would be the best way to play this on the Legion go. With this mos or with lossless scaling x3?
It runs pretty well natively. I've not tried lossless scaling with cyberpunk 2077. I've tried the FG mod but there's a little bit of ghosting at the bottom so I turned it off.
Is this a better FSR 3 frame generation mod than the one you showed a few months back? I'm still running that mod... if this one works better I might be interested. :)

Hi there, great video. How do you skip the red launcher? When I run cyberpunk it opens the red launcher, which then blocks the launch options you give it I’m assuming because I can’t see the DLSS frame Gen option once cyber punk is running. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
I'm using non-steam version, maybe that's why.

Hey Dude i got a issue, after doing all your steps, cp wont start, can it be that cp runs over heroic gog launcher?

it shouldn't but if it doesn't work then change proton.
I did this and there's a tearing happening in the lower part of the screen. You won't see it at night time but in day time when you're driving so fast you can see the lower screen tearing apart.
Yes I noticed I had a bit of ghosting while I was driving too.
@@GrownUpGamingGUG it's sucks. I have to uninstall the whole thing. And install it again.
You can just remove the launch options command and the mod files.
@@GrownUpGamingGUG tbh I panicked after seeing the ghosting I thought I broke my deck. Lol I uninstall it immediately. I didn't know there's a fix to that ghosting.

I'm using graphic preset high as well. Turned of motion blur.
I have tried on Ratchet and Clank, reduced latency by a lot using Latency Flex

I didn't notice any ghosting.
Just tried it on my PC with a RTX 3060 Ti and it worked well for Cyberpunk 2077 and Remnant II but got a black screen when I tried it with A Plague Tale Requiem.
I got it to work with A Plague Tale Requiem on steamOS. But it has hud flickering.
i got error when Run uninstaller -> Install -> select .exe file
it says Runtime error 216 at 00405CF
any idea how can i fix this?
It errors after you select the file or before? Maybe try redownloading the mod exe?

So an issue that I am having is the toggle for “DLSS Frame Generation” is grayed out for me. Do you know what this could be? Did I miss something?

@@GrownUpGamingGUG yeah. I figured it out. It was my version of proton. The latest version makes my game crash, so I downloaded ge proton, and that fixed it

I think my game updated, and now Cyberpunk runs at barely a frame per second. Could it be that I need to update DLSS. Or is there a way to downgrade my Cyberpunk game?
For steam deck users that are modding on it : choose to install it as an asi in the setup (when given the installation options like "AMD gpu") Otherwise it will overwrite version.dll wich is required by Cyber Engine Tweaks

@@GrownUpGamingGUG no worries, I banged my head against my deck for hours before realising that it was this file that was overwritten (tried to blame it against redscript red4ext or others before finding the culprit)
@@Robin.F96 👍 the dlss enabler installer has an option for heavily modded version and I used that when I installed CET.

Thank you! I just had this issue and by replacing the file "version.dll" with the original that comes with Cyberpunk 2077 fixed my mods (CET stopped working).
I've been testing the DLSS mod though but I ended up getting rid of it because I felt like too much input lag... Maybe it's my Steam Deck.

Because it's easy to install on windows so not much to show 😂 these mods are designed to be installed on windows, it's getting them to run on steamos that's exciting for me.

thanks but I tried with the Heroic GOG version, and it does not work, I do not have DLSS3 in game options ... maybe there is something to add in the command line because, as the heroic launcher is used in my case, there is already a command line "run com.heroicgamslauncher.hgl --no-gui --no-sandbox "heroic ...". I tried writing WINEDLLOVERRODES ... %command at the beginning but no success ... game launches but no DLSS. Any idea ?

Hey there, just wanted to mention Starfield has FSR3 Frame Gen built in already, and gets good frame rates when turned on with the GPU Pinned to 1600 in the Steam Overlay. There is a little visual artefacting but Hope this helps.

@@GrownUpGamingGUG I’ve got 160 hours on the Steam Deck, fantastic game but it‘s definitely a slow burner. I’d recommend trying it again, lots of new updates since launch and lots more coming

I cant get my game to show up in protontricks ive ran it and everything its on heroic launcher too

sadly i screwed my game up doing this, now trying to figure out how to uninstall all the components
you can just leave the mod files in and just remove the launch options and the game won't load with the mod. else you need to double check the mod files and delete them.
This mod totally kills Cyber Engine Tweaks, causing problems with the 'versions.dll' file. How can I fix that?
If you already using a mod that uses versions.dll then when you do the installation of this mod, select winmm.dll instead.
You can choose to install it as an asi (it's written in the setup asi is recommended for modded games)
bro, try DXGI.DLL option, it worked, now i have dlss and cyber engine tweaks working, im so fckn happy! took damn an hour to fix that shit...
hi guys i have figured it out, u need to choose dxgi.dll (4th option) and it works with my cyber engine tweaks (version 1.32.2). it took me an hour to solve that @#$%!

So this will work in any game that has dlss frame gen?
This mod's prerequisite is the game needs to have dx12 and dlss2/dlss3 natively. Whether it works for all games that meet this requirement I'm not sure, some games still might need to make adjustments.
heyy gug, i wanted to download mods for ac unity but i need a mod manager named anviltoolkit, when i try to make it as a non steam game it asks me to download a .Net windows thing, which i dont want to download. is there anyway i can bypass this? i apologize and thank you for your help you’re the best
If the mod manager requires .net framework dependencies then it won't work without it.

It depends on the mod, read the installation instructions and whether it requires dependency.

@@GrownUpGamingGUG I tried again and again, nothing worked. However, the mod from luke fz seems to work, I can turn on the Frame Gen, but if I turn on dlss, the game crashes. I have a pirated cyberpunk, maybe that's the case (although it works on a computer)?

I must be using a diffrent frame gen mod I get mad ghosting and horrible frame time with my mod, the frame time is fixed if I lock to 60 fps but then I'm met with unplayable input lag, I have a steam deck oled

@@GrownUpGamingGUG no I downloaded mine about a month ago and I belive the mod was specific for cyberpunk but recently the frame gen has been extremely choppy and I have crazy ghosting effect while driving and around the edges of my screen when I move my camera, I think the mod was "FSR to dlssfg" I could be mistaken but I know I got it from nexus mods

I think it's better to play it at 30/40 fps without the mod than with it. Out of curiosity, I tried it and everything works, everything is explained nicely in the video, but... You say that there is no ghosting, etc., and yet it is very visible in the game. Especially when you're driving :) Even in your video you can see that the rear bumper doubles when you're driving. I don't know why, but after installing the mod, the steam deck fans run at ~6000 from the start of the game in the menu itself. I didn't have this before. The first time, the deck turned off after about a minute oO
Yeah I just noticed the bumper when driving, small price to pay I guess. It's a free mod, you can turn it on or off. I like having options 😂

Disable frame limit to avoid input lag. There's a little bit of ghosting at the bottom of the car that's unavoidable.

tried it with Spider-Man miles Morales. Dlss worked but Frame gen was still grayed out so i gave up, maybe you can give it a try.

If you have the non-steam version it should be fine. The steam version, if you change API from vulkan to dx12, the game crashes, I haven't found a way to make it work.

Elden ring is dx11. Puredark found a way to make it work on dx11 so we need someone else to figure it out and offer it for free.

It might be. There is little ghosting at the bottom of the screen, not really noticeable.

The visuals appear to experience some lag and occasional instability. During explosive sequences, there seem to be minor inconsistencies in the debris rendering.

Thank you for the Video. . Problem is that in Phantom of Liberty the performance goes down to 25 fps . So FG feels laggy. PL DLC was for ps5 only and not for ps4 anymore . I think thats the problem.
you should give the game one more chance . The story is fantastic. PL even more amazing

GTA V is directx 11 so this mod won't work.
