I swear most of your videos is all about Filipino food! (Which is a good thing!) 😊I’m glad that you enjoyed all the food! It’s time for you to find a Filipina, so she can cook everything for you! :)
the best way to eat is pour a little peanut sauce on the rice and top with the meat and veggies with a little dab of shrimp paste to accentuate the bland taste of the peanut sauce everything is eaten with rice that why filipino dishes are salty.
Filipino food is generally flavorful, you should pair it with rice, so you won't get overwhelmed by it, having rice with every bite gives the food a rounded appeal to the taste buds.
That looks like an absolute feast! And the decorations inside the restaurant were really amazing too. I'm hungry now after watching the vid.
@@DillonMcClure And looks like you have won yourself some more followers in the process! Well done
Thanks for showing Rayles Diners! I’m from the Philippines, and I haven’t been there yet, although those who owned the restaurant and served you were my Tita and Tito (Aunt and Uncle). I’m really proud of them! I’m also glad you enjoyed the meal. Also, if you feel like you couldn’t finish the food, you can always take it out and it eat it at home. That’s how we do it, just a suggestion! I hope you invited others to eat in Rayles Diners 💗
Ang ganda diyan, Tita! HUHU Next time punta ako 🥹
Anyway, more power to you and to Rayles Diners! You earned a subscriber 🫶
mostly Filipino food are for family, it's kinda hard to eat it alone because the serving is good for two or more
Wow, we had been in Rayles Diners a month ago and it was our first visit and the Foods were amazingly tasty. We have a vlog as well on that visit. The owners (Ray and Les) are awesome couple and a good friends of ours. Thank you for featuring their Restaurant and our Filipino Foods. Hope you could visit Philippines too.
bagnet is fried pork belly from the northern part of the philippines called the ilocos region. basically same with lechon kawali, but i think bagnet is twice fried. what you had was bagnet kare-kare, which is peanut stew, that's why it's kinda sweet, so you have it with the salty shrimp paste.
Oh ok....thx for explaining! I was waiting for that but....well, nevermind 😁😉
It looked delicious!
What a beautiful and delish meal! The bagnet serving is huge. I am glad that you enjoyed it. ❤ from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Usually Filipino restaurants serve big portion of food, coz mostly their guests are group of families or friends which they share the food to everyone. Next time you might opt the single or pack meals in the menu so you won't be overwhelmed. 😊
Totally agree.
I guess too, it’s good to tell the customer how big the servings are.
Unless it’s been pre-agreed that he wants the big servings.
Thanks for promoting Filipino food & entrepreneurs. Lkednsubcrbed. 👍
I'm a Filipino from the U.S. It's nice you're having a great time! If you haven't tried Sinigang before, you oughta try it. It's a new experience to non-Filipinos because the soup is sour, and what makes it sour is tamarind. Traditionally, Sinigang is served side-by-side on the same plate with plain white rice. You oughta try it. You might like it.
You'll be right at home when you come to the Philippines with using your hands. A lot of people here eat with their hands particularly in the province. We've also been to some restaurants which provide you with gloves for eating 😂😂
@@nornironnomad Try eating rice with your hands when you come here. 😂😂
Yea it's going to be a real step forward in life for me, looking forward to learning some local customs when I'm there man.

Thank youu for trying filipino food. You did right in eating with hands. ❤
WOW! In the Philippines, with the execution, technique and presentation, this would be Filipino food done the 5 star hotel resort version of these dishes. Very lucky.
They shouldn’t have offered you bagnet and crispy pata at the same meal since they’re very similar. But all of it looks amazing!
Beautiful presentation. All looks so appetizing!
Geeez! I'm salivating watching you eat the food!!!

Hi Dillon. That is a Pinoy feast u had there! I would very much suggest the next time u try Pinoy dishes, bring along a legit Pinoy friend to guide u as to how these food are taken esp those with shrimp paste and dips or u can politely ask d cook or d manager to sit down with u and explain how to eat Pinoy food. Btw all these go well with rice. Try these food d next time around- fish kinilaw, sinigang, lechon, kaldereta and for deserts d halo-halo, ube halaya and leche flan. Enjoy exploring Pinoy culture! The kare-kare is eaten with its stew altogether with rice and with a drop of the shrimp paste in one bite, its a mixture of flavor in one bite.Hope you can try more Filipino dishes, maybe you should try chicken pork adobo and pork sinigang

Kare-kare with peanut sauce it's good with shrimp paste bagoong and rice very delicious
You are making me so hungry, I wish we have that restaurant in USA, thank you for showing your delicious vlog, “GOD”bless you
Understanding culture is part of connecting to the food making friends and networking within Filipino community. I’m sure you’ll have good experience of Filipino hospitality when you go to the Philippines. Safe travels and enjoy your expedition
I really hope so, it would feel amazing to be welcomed by the beautiful country and know I can ask the locals for directions etc.
Shrimp paste is super salty and it is not meant to be dip as a sauce with the bagnet. You eat a very small amount of the paste with rice and the sauce of the kare kare.
Absolutely yummyness...
Go to the Philippines explore places, values and culture and the hospitality of the Filipino people. There are so many foreign Vloggers who lives there like the British families like

Sending you good wishes as you have tried our home food. I enjoyed watching your video. Thank you.
I’m salivating ❤❤
Hi Dillon, next time I believe after dipping the pork in the kare-kare (yellow) sauce, you put a little shrimp paste on it to help the saltiness along because the kare-kare sauce is peanutty but bland. :)
your food was like a heaven
You've got a new sub from 🇵🇭
Literally drooling right now
new subs here greetings from phil.naic cavite...watching your vlog while eating dinner...sarap ng mga putahi na hinain....ulam namin spam at egg
Nice sumptous meal seeing you eating those food makes me hungry lol.
Bagnet is a big level up from just fried pork belly.
It is like a ham and multiple deep fry and pemmican altohether.
That Crispy pata looks so delicious..
You should also try Press29 near Botanic area. Owners are Filipino couple and they also serve some Filipino breakfast, lunch and desserts in their menu 😊
Great ambiance
Those are all my favorite ❤
Glad you enjoyed your meal. It’s just sad that most Filipino restaurants and their servers don’t explain how the sauces go with the food that they’re served with especially for “foreigners” who are new to the cuisine. For Filipinos, they would usually know how the side sauces go with certain foods. Also, the Pork Shanghai, which is more commonly know as Lumpiang Shanghai (Filipino spring roll) is not really common as a street food.
Exactly. I noticed a lot of errors on this video, he didn't know how to use the sautéed shrimp paste, the sisig had no slice of lime or lemon, and shanghai isn't a common street food. Fish balls, squid, chicken balls, kwek kwek, siomai, burgers, hotdogs are. And he also doesn't know that after each bite you have to eat rice to balance the saltiness of the viands. The chef is to blame
I’ll make sure to find that place when I go Ireland, I wish I have known of it when I was Scotland!!😎
Great choices
WOW! see you soon here in the Philippines!
We are not a rich country but welcome to our humble abode :)
Enjoy your time in the Philippines soon!
Enjoy our delicious dishes
Filipino foods are underrated. I love Bagnet... It's a pork belly with spices and left hang for several days until it half dried and fried to serve. Best of it is in Ilocos Region, The Philippines
what a feast, all for one person! you must've spent a mint on all those dishes
Awesome.. tgats a feast
That was one pork feast you ordered. I would end up in a food coma afterwards. 😋🤣
Oh God the Bagnet is amazing!
The server didn't even explain on how to combine the meat and the kare-kare sauce with the bagoong he just placed it on the table and left. 😁
Great video and stuff like that.
I'm filipino, but I'm here in New Zealand,, Connected done,, full support, thank you😊
Wow yummy crispy pata …love that 🫶🏼🇨🇦
Oh my goodness..awesome Kate-Kare with bagnet..yummy😋😊
Wow wow wow🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🫶🏼
That "seat" is probably made from the root or stump part of the cut tree. That was a massive tree. :)
So with kare kare is. delicious with peanut sauce and bagoong or shrimp paste
Good video. It is perfectly acceptable to eat Filipino food with your hands. In fact, eating with hands is the traditional way of eating Filipino food. Just grab that crispy pata with both hands and rip it apart. Dip in sauce and eat with rice. And if it seems complex, just ask how to eat it. For example, kare-kare is always eaten with shrimp paste and rice.
Aba, Akoy nAtatakam sa crispy pata mo ai. GinutOm tuloy ako. 😁👍👍🇵🇭🇵🇭
Another brilliant video and look at those views mate. 🎉 nice job. 👍🏼
