Cool. One of my personal favorites. I’ve kept my entertainment (hobby restoration) to H-D, building basket cases and mechanics specials. 👍🏼

Right on! One of these days I’ll get into the H-D stuff. Barrier to entry seems a bit higher, but hope to build a traditional chopper or bobber in the future!

Nice job, a work mate of mine had a canary yellow shooting star here in the UK back in the early 70s the sound and the torque of that big thumper stuck with me and that tank of yours sets it off a treat well done.

The torque is one of my favorite things about the 441 models, just outstanding! Thanks for sharing the story about your friend, don’t know that I’ve ever seen a shooting star that’s yellow before, gonna have to look that one up!

Nice Beezer! I would move the seat forward to the back of the gas tank. Don't ask why I know.

Sounds great. Looks decent. But the gap between the tank and seat looks a bit odd, and the front mudguard looks wrong and potentially dangerous. Could you not find a real one?

So the gap between the seat and the tank is something that the bone stock BSA 441 model range has. It’s a lot more noticeable with the alloy tank fitted! Are you familiar with the old Triumph desert sleds? The seat is shaped in the same style as the aftermarket seats used in the 60’s and 70’s on the old sleds. As for the front mud guard, I have a stock one, but because this is a dirt bike, needed more clearance so debris doesn’t jam up the wheel, hence why it doesn’t hug as closely to it. The stock forks are fairly weak (lotta people including BSA towards the end of the production run) upgraded to Cerianis to fix the problem. So it really needs a fender of sorts to strengthen it, another option would be a fork brace. As I live where there’s more mud than sand, I opted for a fender with more clearance!
