The 2023 Juno Awards took place at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta on March 13. Hosted by Simu Liu, it included performances by Tate McCrae, AP Dhillon, Tenille Townes, Alexisonfire, Aysanabee, Banx & Ranx, Preston Pablo, Rêve, Jessie Reyez, a special hip-hop tribute featuring Kardinal Offishall, Haviah Mighty, Michie Mee, Mel Boogie, Dream Warriors, Tobi, as well as a performance from Hall of Fame inductees Nickelback.

She is a remarkable singer with a unique voice and amazing dancing skills, so I understand that it's hard to find a balance when trying to showcase all of her talents. Still, for a music award, I would have enjoyed more singing from her, even if it meant less dancing.
Bro she only left out a few words to dance and she sang the song fairly well. She wasn’t out of breath. This was a perfect balance

This red outfit is too much like Britney and does not sit well with me. Back in the day this would not be done so closely to another artist's iconic look as it would be a faux pas. I wonder if Tate McCrae will continue having her own identity in her music or keep being compared to Britney. It was done almost so brazenly with the red outfit like Britney. It is not tasteful, it is uncomfortable. An homage should be subtle, this is way too loud. It gives me a weird feeling. Young stars should have their own identity, not have to copy what came before them.
