Great analysis. One other variable to consider- the Lions have been such a resilient team after a loss. They haven’t stacked up back to back losses since October 2022. Definitely see where you’re coming from, but not sure I see them losing back to back 2x this year. Appreciate the great content. Looking forward to you hitting 1k subs

That's a great point! Tough to think that will happen to be honest, you're right. Big picture its hard to even make predictions this early on as SO much will change but in the end I see them winning the division and competing for the #1 seed. Hopefully those two back to backers don't really happen!

Quick bit of trivia: Seattle has the highest win percentage of any NFL team in mnf history. Gonna be a really hard one.

After 2 years of running essentially the same offense with success the lions are going to struggle a bit more this year if they don't change things up. With our inability to throw outside the numbers and deep we are going to face defense every week that packs the middle. Our offense is tailored to work there because that is where our quarterback is the most accurate and efficient. If we don't make some changes I can't see that we can do better than 10 and 7 or 11 and 6. People are going to hate that but that's what defensive coordinators do. We have an embarrassment of riches on this team not the least of which is hendon hooker who could be starting as soon as week 10. That's completely dependent upon him learning the system and being able to do that at a professional level. If the arm talent he showed in college translates to the NFL we can have a offense that takes advantage of the entire field.. our success will cause other teams to try and take away our strength so we really need to adapt which means finding a way to use golf in a different way or move on to Hooker. NFC North teams drafted to stop us and we better adapt or it's going to be a long year.

Great points...No way do they move from Goff now after the BIG contract. Hooker will have to be cultivated as a backup...maybe a package or two here and there to keep defenses guessing but no way he sees more time this year than that barring an injury. But here is where I FULLY agree with you. Ben Johnson has to continue to get creative to allow Goff to work the boundary more and get balls downfield. Getting the RB's mixed in the pass game could allow for more middle of the field but you are correct that defenses will be scheming for this now. Can Goff and Jamo get connected to where he is a threat to pull defenses back. Continue to create space for LaPorta and of course Amon Ra. Should be an interesting offense to watch!
