- Thank you all for watching. This is a recreation of one of my old videos using a new voice. The actual text is from a 40k novel named "lords of silence", and although I have rewritten, and added new paragraphs, the credit for this story should go to the books original author Chris Wraight.

IMO, this voice really recaptures what made the original concept great: explaining the horrible grimdark universe of 40k with a really calm and collected enthusiasm. Really nice
I agree completely. This one is very nice, perhaps even a bit too aggressive imo
quite the opposite i believe AI david attenborough is far more superior
I could easily see myself growing to prefer this voice.
Agreed, it's a well constructed voice and a tempered script
I think it's not anywhere as good
This voice is killer man. I like the soft spoken yet very confident wisdom
Careful Scholar, I think this guy wants you to whisper sweet nothings into his ear.
Well Attenborough did do a "whispery" voice often because he was in the field next to the things he talked about, current voice could use some of that.
Great work!!! Love it
@@Azubrael This "guy" is AI.
All hail the Attenborough machine spirit
The voice is perfect for these sort of videos. An elderly man that served his duty for the God Emperor, now teaches the next generation with the sermons and histories of the universe and those that live there.
This voice, is the next best thing to Attenborough's, please keep this one!🥺
YES! KEEEEP!
Right away, I love that the narrator is in-character. The Imperiums terraforming processes are some of the most advanced technology I've seen them use. The STC with that intel was a big help, for sure.
I expected something closer to a feral world, or at most a continent-sized network of large farms connected by trains. This sounds like the most high tech variant of an Agri-world.
10/10 on the voice, I love it. I don't think you're going to be losing too many feathers from this rebranding!
This voice is better than the last one used. The other one was deep to a grating extent. And this voice is closer to Attenborough. Big improvement.
Not even slightly close to Attenborough but it's still cool
Both voices so far have been great. I think if you pick the voices selectively depending on the topics, then they'll be both very effective.
Where the theme of the subject matter overlaps it may be possible to have a guest lecturer (another voice model) present.
Im gonna miss Grand magus Attenborough, but these videos are always so digestible. Ive wanted to peak at the fluff for agriworlds and other world types as much as the epic warfronts.
this voice is a banger. the addition of breathing makes it sound super realistic
New voice is working great, I think the contrast between the grimdark of the 40k reality and a soft calm voice like Attenborough is why this works so much
Dang it, I was really hoping the new voice would be a valley girl just to surprise everyone. Maybe that will come around come April 1st…
In all seriousness, superbly done. 🙂
That would have been absolutely hilarious!
April Fools is only a few months/cycles away. All in due time.
Good idea! I'd like to hear a variety and the occasional funny voice.
This is actually a great idea if this current voice ever has a sick day.
Great voice, way better then the last one.
Like a gentle yet firm teacher.
This voice model is great. I personaly like it better than the last, though i did like it too. This calm soft voice is just near perfect like the original concept. Good job
Liked both voices, love this one. I think you hit the nail on the head. Not an Attenburough copy, but still brings the same overall tone: calm and informative. That calm really does well to balance the overall grittiness of the content.
Oh snap. This the one! I know you probably didn't see me asking for more of a bellisarius voice... But the omnisiah did! 🙏
Yeah definitely like this one over the last model. For me it's the cadence and this one is a lot more natural sounding than the god emperor previous one. The last one would be a good one to stand in for the big e. It has an imperious sound to it.
Also i think this one fits more as the master scholar character.
Yes yes yes! This has a very similar vibe to the original idea. The other one was cool, but felt more epic. This and the Atten-Era (name is up for debate) really capture this scholarly feeling of listening to you favorite professor reading essays in the lecture hall.
Edit: It also adds some nice distance. Ican't speak for others, but I enjoy feeling like an actual scholar rather than a cadett being indoctrinated.
May I propose: Atten Erranos. I double checked and it actually translates into something Latin but not sure if it's the vibe being aimed for, "and yet the errant ones".
@@ckl9390 personally just love the idea that your pitch includes the words "translates into something latin". I'm sold
Took me a while to realise the change, good job to keeping it as close as possible! Really captured his style of narrating ❤
I dont know how far I had to scroll down in this comment section, but it took me quite a while to finally find a si gle comment that would not have the word "voice" in it. Thank you for reconfirming that I am not living in a gliched out simulation.
I dont know if it will be too much work, but a variety of voices for different topics could be quite fitting, thanks for the content as always dude
Possibly as a by-product of experimentation and refinement. There is already the dour gravelly voiced general or elder statesman, and now the soft spoken and wise administrator. We'll likely see a retinue of voice models develop, each with their own character.
I really LOVE this new voice! Its much more human, and still captures spirit if the Old One that started this channel :3
I think having an rotation of few voices would be really interesting!
This is great! Love the new voice, well done!!!
Turning brutality into poetry. Well done.
I really do enjoy this new voice, I think it hits the same vibe and feeling as the original. Well done and thanks so much for your continued work on these :)
Great work as always. I think both voices have their merit: the lower, gravellier one for the (more) war-related topics, and this one for the comparatively domestic ones.
This is truly a scholar's or teacher's voice - keep it!
I like this one best. It gets what attenborough had that made this concept was aiming for.
11/10, this voice is so much better than the last one.
This is it, this voice is the one.
i like this voice more than the other one! a gentleness in there is a really nice contrast to the horrors of 40k.
Yeah this is a much softer and awesome sounding voice. The last voice was great too though, like a Primarch parting his wisdom upon us. This voice sounds more like how I'd imagine an Iterator to sound like, easier to listen to late at night too.
Great narration; I feel the bleakness of these places. Really well done
I think this voice works really well! It sounded like a lecture from one of the old Doctors, erudite and familiar. It doesn't have the tinge of sadness or tragedy when talking about the harshness of the labor, and actually sounded a little proud when talking about how the Imperium utterly deforms planets to create agri-worlds which altogether felt more Imperial. "Behold the power of our technology, the exactness of our methods, the grim toil it requires and be thankful."
Yep, this one is much better. Attenborough has this almost melancholy quality to his narration at times that is super soothing. This one is definitely closer than the aggressive tone of the last one.
i was just listening a short story about a Agri world during the Horus H. time what they go through and how the entire thing was effecting them very interesting stuff they were in a far away sector so the war didnt effect them directly for a long time
I’m glad the new voice is having such a warm reception. And I agree, it definitely recaptures the magic of AI-ttenborough.
However, I’ve also grown quite fond of the previous voice, and would love to see it return for videos that cover military &/or inquisitorial history. Another possible option would be to have it act as a “guest speaker” when discussing the military-focused history of a particular planet, or when discussing sensitive/classified information that wouldn’t be included in sermons that “professor” voice would make for the general public.
Even better, you could use the two voices to demonstrate opposing viewpoints in the imperium, almost like a mock “debate” in which professor-AI would make a meeker &/or more knowledge-seeking standpoint, whereas sergeant-AI would make a more ambitious &/or militaristic standpoint.
On that note, it’d be nice if the two voices could be given distinct names to go along with their personalities. 😁
You should convert your convert into full fledged Magos Archivist with all the gravitas of the voice combined with synth.
Awesome new voice my man. For what It's worth from a random. I think what you did with Attenborough's voice was incredibly compassionate and respectful to the guy. Since the universe is completely fictional and socially accepted it doesn't matter if he was into it or not. What's important is that his style is really good and we are lucky to live with him now and record his voice for the internet to hear going forward. Copyright can have it's war against this and maybe it's right but I think it's cool!
Nailed the voice this time. Stick with this. It's awesome.
I take back what I said, this narrator is also perfect. His voice is very soothing. I take back what I said before, this voice is very good at narrating.
This voice has a very John Hurt like ring to it, I approve
This voice is great! Thank you for uploading these with this new voice, im going to binge these while i paint my army.
Thers nothing wrong with this voice, but I have to say the previous voice was superior. Having what was easily Attenborough teaching me about butterflies one video and then about choas next was perfection.
Despite video quality has not decreased, I must admit the voice was 100% of my following. At least for me anyway, Attenborough holds a special place for me.
I’d love it if you reuploaded the old videos with this narrator 🙌
Great voice and I especially love the intro, it sets the scene. If he's an aged and senior administratum official, it would make sense to me that he would have some audible quirks of mechanicicus cognitive upgrades. I think both voices have their place. Great work, very fun to listen to.
I have now fallen for the new voice, can relax and sit back good work 👍
I'm not gonna say who the voice sounds like, but certainly is not Sir Attenborough. Well done sir!
This voice is so good, keep up the good work!!
This voice is much better than the previous one!
Yeah nice, the voice is great! Even better than the last one. There's no reason you can't use multiple voices on this channel
This voice is much easyer to listen to than the previous one, the flow is better because less words per sentence are emphasized
New voice was good, this one is better :D
In agreement with many here - this voice sounds a lot better than the other new one and is much more similar to Attenborough. Keep up the great work!
New Voice sounds like a true Scholar in the Imperium
Love this voice & tone with this format. Very dystopian future government propaganda (textbook 40k) vibe. Keep up the great work!
THIS. THIS IS THE VOICE I WANT TO REHEAR THE STORY OF GEISTOS IN!
This is a good voice. Better than the first of the new ones.
Your writing is among the best of all 40k youtube channels.
Holy shit, the new voice Is awesome
Shh, you had me at salubrious. Seriously outstanding voice and writing.
You've pivoted very well with this voice. Its got that dignified tone that you started off with. Sorry about all the copyright strikes, glad you've kept on though 👍🏻
This voice is way better too listen in my opinion. Keep up the amazing work scholar!! The emporer protects
This voice is perfect keep this one for sure 100%
Your writing is fantastic.
Sounds like a higher-pitched Patrick Stewart. I like it.
top notch voice. I watch every video, and probably always will. The quality is always there. appreciate you
Much better voice then the one you chose to replace the old one.
I really enjoyed this video and the voice over! Please don't go back❤
Brutal AF !
This is awsome better than the first with the old AI well done Lore Master.
10/10 as always. Love the new voice. Your effort is greatly appreciated.
I love that Warhammer can turn walking a world devoted to farming into something horrible and nightmarish
Sounds great pal, the tone of the voice really suits your writing style.
I find this very calming
For a lack of Attenborough, this is a suitable surrogate
Good choice on this voice. I prefer it over the last. Cheera
Thank god you changed the voice man wow this is so much better I’m going to come back to you now
Radical idea - but maybe have 2 or 3 different voices that cover different topics or subjects? Like keep this guy for the stuff about the civil structures and the lord inquisitor for things relating to Xenos war topic and heresy?
I like this voice it could be a couple cents deeper and it would be perfect. Good to hear the channel going onwards!
Out of all the various world types, Agri-Worlds really capture the fundamental banality of life in the Imperium. Every unique or distinctive feature a candidate planet has is just purged, not even ruthlessly, but with a casual indifference
your stuff is great man keep up the good work, you make original stuff that others can't beat
Nice work on the new voice! While I do enjoy the previous one, I do feel as though this one is a better fit. Gives me the impression of a scholar which has gained their wisdom through burying themselves within libraries. It somewhat reminds me of John Hurt's voice, whereas the previous voice reminded me of the voice of the lieutenant from Fallout 1. Both are fantastic and I look forward to seeing and hearing more of your work!
I know you have plenty to work with atm, though would you consider doing a piece on the Tyrant stars? I can't remember if you made a video on them in the past or not?
This voice is great, i did like the other voice during the later videos, but if i had to pick, i would probably pick this one. (Not counting Attenboroughs voice ofc)
I listened to all your videos before the purge, i do like these second passes on topics you've already done.
This less dour, soft yet firm, voice model does seem better suited for illuminating matters that are largely within the domain of the civil service. Whereas the almost growling voice model used in the Tau video also seems fit for it's purpose on military matters.
We're back in full swing, baby...
The few pictures of Scythe in this video fit quite well for an AGRI-WORLD, makes me think of patrolling nights across the expansive fields. It would be cool to see how these worlds may differ from each other. Shown here looked like a wheat world, but what if there was a whole rice paddy world, or a world of maze
Good to see you back, Scholar's Lore.
Brutal efficiency in order to feed the Imperium.
Yessssssss !!!!!! Best voice so far. I mean, with one exception.
There's a nice weight to this new voice that I like over the previous voice. I still think you should try Richard Burton though. 😃
this is exactly how i would imagine scholar, or a keeper of imperium lore
So much more human, the voice that is.
thisa voice is suit best, it recaptures what made the original concept great.
Love this voice! It really fits the topic but I’m not sure it would be great for the more dark warhammer topics
As an Agri-worlder myself, I approve of this video
Nurgle would bring such wonderous variety to such stagnant worlds
Neat. I prefer this voice, seems to fit better tbh.
Your persistence is much appreciated!
This voice is the perfect choice sir.
Yup, liking the voice!
This is it, lads, we have a new scholar
