Lots of great info JT. The only one I don't do is the gloves. Just haven't found a pair I love.

Those Oakleys are really great. I use that same pair to fish Muskie

Smart vid Gramps! I like to hydrate up a day before if its going to be a hot one. In Northern VA it has been 90-100 for a month or more.

Those wrangler pants are way more affordable than Simms pants for the budget minded fisherman like myself

Thanks for the awesome tips Mr. JT
Could you please put a link or the name of the pants that you recommended so I can get the right pair from Walmart or Amazon?
I did not see the link in the description and want to make sure I get the right ones to stay cool
    Thanks again, brother

Timely. Just had squamous cell removed from outside of nose and basal cell removed from inside. Dermatologist stated the only way she could explain basal cell inside my nose was from reflected light off the water while fishing. Go figure..

Hey I have a question. I know you used to be bigger and you said you don’t stand on your yak. The question I have is how did you switch rods? I’m 5’9 350lbs and yes I can sit and fish. But I’m a bit scared to turn around. Im guessing your gonna say it takes time and confidence since I’ve been out only 3 times. But appreciate the tips if you can give any.

Yeah, it's twist and turn. It takes a bit to build up that confidence and flexibility. I have a bad back and have to be careful but it gets easy with time.
