Disney's Flying Fish Restaurant Review Dining with Traveler Friends | Dsney's Boardwalk Resort

- Hello Travelers and welcome to our table at Disney's Flying Fish Restaurant located on the Boardwalk at Disney's Boardwalk Resort. We were joined by Heidi and Kevin, a few members of our Traveler Family, to try the newly reopened Flying Fish! We had a great time and were able to wish them Bon Voyage, as they were getting ready to depart on Disney's Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World. We will meet up with them later in the week for their experience aboard the Halcyon and much anticipated Starcruise.
We are excited to share our experience at Flying Fish and hope you enjoy as much as we did! We continue to send our thanks to all of our Traveler Family for traveling along with us and we hope to see you Wednesday for their full report on their take of the Starcruise! And as always family, Travel and Adventure is out there!

They truly were a great couple to share a meal with. We loved sharing not only this meal with them we did it a second night which will be Wednesdays video. They were telling us about their San Diego trip. Can’t wait to see them again.

@@TravelingAroundDisney When I reach for a snack watching videos, I'll grab a slice or two of cheese and/or a slice or two of cold cuts. Sometimes I'll actually put them together and make a sandwich. Growing up, cheese was considered a "healthy snack" when compared to candies, cookies, chips, etc. When I'd head for the cookie/candy drawer, my Mom would stop me and tell me to have a slice of cheese!!

Honestly I was shocked at how good it was. I am not a big dark chocolate fan, but with that milk chocolate center it was fantastic.

Great video. First, Flying Fish is on my hit list. That steak looked soooo good. Good happy ending with that amazing dessert. To top if off, Kevin's watch was a nice item to share. I will be waiting for your Paddle Fish visit. I really have high hopes for this establishment but it gets pretty beat up in a lot of other reviews.
It was such a great experience with fellow travelers. Ya one day I will have that watch lol, it’s all in the chase. Paddle fish was really a nice meal and hearing about there journey made for a great meal. Stay tuned to Wednesday. Thank you so much for all your support over all of our travels.

Hi Michelle and Todd, great video! So glad you enjoyed the Flying Fish! That is one of our favorite restaurants on property, before and after the renovation. We miss Chef Tim Keating though. He is the one who brought the Char-crust NY Strip to the menu. They used to have a surf and turf with potato wrapped snapper added. Rudy he does their risotto is also a great Cast Member. Not sure if he came back after the closure. Take Care ❤
ps. Not sure if this was the vlog where Todd mentioned the large statues that he wished he bought. We did the same thing. We used to walk by them at the Screendoor Store on the Boardwalk while on vacation and say how we should get one... never did. They were about $150 at that time, which sure sounds like a bargain.
Juls I will have to say we ate there like 4 years ago and just didn’t see the hype. This trip how ever was fantastic and honestly we can’t wait to go back. Every dish was fantastic and having fellow travelers made it even better. I will definitely be on the lookout for that surf and turf. Hope you have a fantastic week.
I just wish I would have bought more then one lol. Michelle and I have decided to to collect anything anymore. We are going to have experiences and memories from here on out.
Flying Fish is our fave signature restaurant! We love that silver ware and that potato bread. We all get the NY strip there. So odd since it's a fish restaurant, but that is our fave steak on property, only we order it with the filet accompaniments. The 50 th dessert was just ok for us. We split it in 4 so everyone just had a bite. I ate the meringue stick. lol. We had the cocoa breach pre-pandemic. It was quite the presentation, and we enjoyed, but no need to order again as I really ordered just to see the magic. We do have reservations in April and I can't wait to go again, but I was lucky enough to go the week it opened again.
It was fantastic. The steak was great and the scallops were absolutely fantastic. We can’t wait to go back to try something different and to get that goat cheese cheesecake it had such a great flavor. We now try to give them a month’s opening to see what type of meal we get and if they changed anything on the menu. Thanks so much for all your support and we hope you had a great weekend.

I’m so glad Flying Fish is still a go-to for special events. Their seafood dishes, especially the scallops, were always on the must order list. However, after your entertaining and informative video on the pork belly and steak, I can’t wait to deviate. The goat cheese cheesecake also looked amazing. Thanks for posting these videos. We are going for our First time October 26th to Flying Fish. I'm a Seafood Lover. I'm getting the Pork Belly and the Scallops. Love the channel. We are Disney Foodies.
Two great choices. I absolutely loved both of them. Have a fantastic time and hope our travels cross while you are visiting.
It's our New Favorite Restaurant. Pork Belly and Scallops for me. Delicious. My wiife had the Crusted Sirloin . It was Great! Highly Recommended Flying Fish.

That meal looks delicious. I am not a fish person myself so we've never been. Well that and we stick to our faves: Jiko, California Grill,and Storybook Dining. I am always apprehensive to try new things. Todd love your shirt. You've also made Mark and I want to try peppadews. 😂
Denice the first time we tried this location we did not enjoy at all, this time was a complete 180. The food was fantastic and Michelle’s steak was incredible. Love California Grill since I work at the contemporary. I do hope they go back to some of there old dishes wants the celebration is over. Storybook food is amazing. Still need to get back to Jiko since reopening.

Y’all are adorable and I love your food reviews. We have this restaurant booked in October 2022. We are so excited to eat there. Based on your and Pete Werner’s review we are definitely ordering the pork belly. And based on your review, I’ll try the shrimp cocktail which I never choose.

I have always wanted to dine at the Flying Fish! The food looked really amazing! Too bad about their lobster bisque, it’s sounds yuck! Narcoossee’s has the absolute best lobsta bisque ❤️

Our favorite place prior Covid. My husband had pork loin and I had scallops well cooked with risotto. Dessert was great too. Thanks for review - drooling in NC.

Everything looked delicious! I’ve heard nothing but great things about this place. I’ve always wanted to dine in here but I’m not a big fan of them having a dress code. Maybe one day I’ll have to give this place try. Keep the great videos coming!
Hi Robert! Dress code? What dress code? This is Florida and Disney. The only restaurant so far that I have found strict about a dress code is Victoria & Albert's and it hasn't returned yet. Although a bikini might be frowned upon! lol Thanks so much for traveling along with us! - Michelle

No your right hats are a no no. But pretty much a nice pullover and nice shorts get you through all the doors but Victoria and Alberts.

of my very favorite places to eat! You were deciding what to order for appetizers and I was yelling at my screen "GET THE PORK BELLY!!!!" I'm sorry you didn't like the bisque, but I am happy that you were able to switch and get another one. And you chose the best one. It is probably one of the best things I have ever eaten. It's been a few years since I've been there. The last time we were there, they had squid ink pasta with lobster. It was AH-MAZING! Unfortunately, they don't have it anymore. The steak is on my list. Great video as always. Can't wait to see your next one.

Good description on the Lobster Bisque, as the fancier Bisques seem to taste more like a gravy or a “deep base” as you described it. 🤢 I love the more traditional Bisque flavor too.
The Seafood Pearl Pasta is what I would love to try.
p.s. I guess besides straws, you have to start packing back-up silverware. 🤣😂

Well Scotty that’s a great question. As of now Michelle and I would choose the Topolino’s character breakfast/brunch. We will be doing more brunches in the future so stay tuned. Yes put us down for two spots in November.
