This a really a lesson about not specing on Modern books above cover price for mid-term flips. A lot of them would have been profitable quick flips, and who knows what five years down the road holds, but lots of busts in the 1 year time frame,

My opinion is that if you’re in modern books cheap they are still viable products to turn into capital for future purchases.

I think for new books you are correct and that people are taking the books not slab. I wonder if that would be true for older books where one would be worried about restoration and cut outs?
