  • I had the honor of visiting the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge TN, and taking the Wallace Hartley violin tour. This is the violin that was played as the Titanic was sinking. It was auctioned off in 2013 for 1.7 million dollars and is in the exhibit at this museum until August 14th 2016. We were warmly welcomed by staff and our tour guide Stephanie. The resident violinist Bill Young played a beautiful version of Ashokan farewell for us.
Music for this video is Hector the Hero from the Shines Like Silver CD: Cady Finlayson violin, Elkin Brown guitar, Hunter Lee, tin whistle, Jim Roberts, Embira. Composed by Scott Skinner (1843-1927)

Wow that is so cool Chris! That story really made an impression on me, being a violinist and all. I made a longer one talking about it too. Thanks for the subscription! Here's the whole story if you don't know it already. czcams.com/video/b6J0mIdvJUU/video.html

    Hi Cady.
If you would like to know about Wallace's visits to Bridlington there is a nice little book called R.M.S.Titanic The Bridlington Connections by Richard.M.Jones (Brilliant) price around £8.
Titanic has had me hooked for over 65 year's LOL and in 2014 I donated a brass bell with lanyard and a brass inclinometer to the Nomadic in Belfast and it went on display this year and my very good friend Tom McClean Positive Belfast has put it on his CZcams channel of the same name.
I wondered do you play professionally in an orchestra for a living or is it for your own pleasure? I just love good music.

Hopefully I can see the Nomadic someday. I play professionally for a living, but I play Celtic music mostly (Irish and Scottish).
