As a Dominican woman, it was nice to see the interviewers compassion and non-judgement regarding where Tokischa comes from. Naturally, you have to come from there to know about that life. For me it highlighted how liberal she is and how conservative America can be. She’s uncensored, raw, genuine and on another planet compared to most. Love Hot 97, they’re the best! TOKI IS THE REALEST OF THE RELEAST! I love her so much. When i first heard her music, i must admit i did go woah, why say things so roughly? ... But now i sing them out loud at the gym, my home and anywhere else because WE CAN! She's on point about her dad wanting her to help pay for stuff at home when she finally started getting money, so respect to her for leaving to follow her own path on her terms.
