One of my favorite small cities
I hear ya
Yo you always eating good in your vids fam lol. I wonder how the gyms are in the African countries?
Hahaha...I try to. I've visited gyms in most African countries. Uganda has the most expensive gyms by far in Kampala. About 130 usd a month on average.
Most other African countries you can jump in and get a 1 month pass from 30-65 usd. Sometimes in Southern Africa they even have pools, the Virgin chain always does.
Once again tight work, I was pleasantly surprised by Gaborone developing infrastructure and also the strength of there currency “Pula” I think is it name it was 13 to 1 USD when I visited; I wanted to visit the diamond mines and got a big NO WAY from the local tour guides, the Botswana national museum was under renovation when I was there, I did view there interior courtyard with the mud huts for the baños. Continued success ✌️
Right on
You should visit the Lion Park Resort (fun place for both the old and young) and Mokolodi Game Reserve which is just outside Gaborone to the South.
Right. Thanks for watching. Kindly subscribe to support the channel
So glad you called out the imposter (fiction boy)
Thanks for watching
It was warm during that time because right now temperatures have droped...Winter time
Sweater weather?
If u ask me I will choose my city so clean and accomodative we breathe clean air like seriously
Are you from Gabarone?
Great vlog! Thanks for talking about it being a car-dependent city. I used to live in Henderson,NV (Vegas suburb), and it looks like that. Did you have a hard time getting Uber or any ride sharing service? I’m looking for a place to retire on the continent, and would prefer a walkable community. Also , you mentioned ants; did you see any spiders in your place as well?
I also lived in the Las Vegas area. They don't have uber but a local solution. I wouldn't advise people to spend more than 2 days there without renting a vehicle. I spotted 0 spiders. Kindly subscribe to support the channel
Thank you for your response 🙏🏽Subscribed.
Always nice gals in Botswana 🌹❤️😘✅
Indeed. Thanks for watching
I read that this Small country has larger GDP per capita and better living standard than the loud giant nearby. You are doing great, sir!
Thank you.
🤣
While at this mall you can go behind it and you'll see wild baboons. I have been going there while im visiting and feed them. They are mellow ❤ and appreciate the snacks.
The streets seem to always be empty probably because of the low population and they don't market the country for tourism.
Thanks for sharing. I can see that you are a fan of Gabarone.
Gaborone has a nice appeal. It's growing in its infrastructure and hopefully that will bring in tourism. I prefer a busier lifestyle and a bigger population but Gaborone is perfect for people who love a slower, quieter pace.
Botswana is the largest producer of diamonds in Africa and it similar to south Africa
What makes you say that it is similar?
@dinobichukwuvictoria5934 - They are not similar. Don't believe everything you read in the media. Namibia is more developed than Botswana in terms of infrastructure and towns. Botswana is not as developed as most people think. Gaborone is okay but not amazing. The rest of the country is rural areas, villages and game parks.
@@Accuface2000he didn’t say Namibia , he said South Africa 🇿🇦
@@JayFocused the culture and the people
Botswana cant fux with Namibia....Botswana is a village compare to Namibia 😅
The street of Gaborone are clean 🧼
💯
The cover is Nairobi
Wish you had a more informed guide. Actually bumped into you a lot during the summit. Tayo definitely got a different experience. I can go a whole year without going to main mall type stuff
You "bumped into me a lot"??
It's perfect no need to over develop like other cities
Variety is nice. Southern Africa has cities for everyone. Thanks for watching. Kindly subscribe to support the channel
Jay when are you coming back home to Namibia? 🙈🙈
Great question. 🤔
I heard that Botswana is one of the more developed African countries. Is it expensive tho?
The prices are reasonable. Way less than in the Western nations.
Watching from Molepolole....west of Gaborone
@user-ee3uy5ly1n
Outstanding. I'd like to visit the Western side as well. How are things there?
Am I saying Gabarone correctly?
*Gaborone. (G- like the "Ch" in Chutzpah)
You actually have a natural Setswana tone, you read many names almost correctly - a month in Botswana/South Africa with Batswana and you would be fluent.
@lebo5281
Thanks 👌🏽
The picture is nairobi
Thanks for watching
Hey brother if I may ask, why do you guys always pronounce Botswana as Batswana, does the letter O and A somehow look the same to you or there's something we don't understand there?
I speak 4 languages. It is what it is. Thanks for watching
Team Namibia
Thanks
ethiopian women vs Botswana / SA women?
Ethiopian are more conservative. Thanks for watching
It’s the least developed city in Southern Africa in terms of infrastructure but it will get there some day , it just needs proper town planning & better architecture
I think it needs more people too. It shouldn't become a mega-city but you need more inhabitants to unlock it's potential, similar to Windhoek in Namibia.
@@JayFocused yes you’re right the two countries are very much similar In population dynamics & emptiness feels ,,,
but Windhoek is much bigger , organized & has proper infrastructure & road network that’s where Gaborone lacks , if it could push a lil further by investing in its infrastructure it would attract a lot of migration but it’s disadvantaged by SA & Namibia coz they have oceans 🌊 so people who option to move to the southern part of Africa would choose countries with a coast than inland , this is viewed even in the population history of both countries , they both used to be 2.5 million people, now Botswana is 2.6 million & Namibia is over 3 million
Gaborone has over 200k while Windhoek has 500k
@pushingp6945 Big facts
Gaborone is more developed than most capital cities in Southern Africa. A small population is not a problem; look at the Gulf states like Kuwait, the UAE, they only number a couple of million each (Kuwait arnd 6 million). A large unproductive population is different from a China, or Germany, large and productive populations. In terms of levels of productivity and management of resources; some African countries can not justify having a population of over 5000, even then I am quite sure, given the ineptitude & corruption, that country would be poor.
@@inigomulaisho2809 which city is it more developed than in Southern Africa ?? Have you checked the development index , have you travelled before ?? I can’t even put Lesotho’s capital below Gaborone , maybe eswatini but I doubt
The women in Botswana are supposed to be beautiful. What were your thoughts?
I think you can find a bit of everything there, brotha.
Botswana women are thick in a good way. According to statistics, u gotta be careful STD wise. Thats what these that folks conduct census stating. But the women are gorgeous
They need to fly west Africans over there. West Africa is over populated relative to resources.
What about Central Africans? The Congo has the 3rd largest population.
No no please. We are happy as we are. We don't want too many people to come and corrupt us. We like to retain our peaceful humane existence where people are not valued by how many billions they have. We want to remain simple villagers who still care about our neighbors. I bet West Africans are too many because they are religious. It is daft to do that. Botswana is fine as it is. The resources must never be overpowered by the size of the population. In Botswana, a child is given a piece of land when they reach the age of 18. That is how you eradicate poverty
Come out bold and say it to our face. You mean to say Nigeria. It is the only populated nation in West Africa. I smell South African enviousness from this your post.
@@the8thchurch461 There are more people in Botswana that Cape Verde in West Africa. So no West African want to come to your overrated country.
@@youme1414 Who said people want to come to Botswana? I was answering the person who said to fly West Africans to Botswana. It wasn't my idea. Let everyone stay in their countries I say. Over population is self inflicted. If you allow the white man to treat your women like cattle with his religion, causing them to breed mindlessly to enrich him and his capitalism, then you will have that problem. Just contain your population and breed according to the size of your resources, not breed for the simple reason that you are able. That is just daft. Botswana is predicted to be a high income country in not so long a future because we do not breed like rabbits. We contain our numbers so we are not frustrated and unable to deal with that which comes with mindless breeding.
Yeah, that Jamaican accent is struggling...😅
🇯🇲
Are you sure this is Batswana 😅
The video?
Wow the have spar too
Indeed they do.
Spar is from Netherlands
@lebo3793
Ok. I didn't know that. I've seen it in several countries
@@JayFocused it's a chain super market
It seems popular in Southern Africa
There is really not much to do Gaborone 😂. From my own experience.
Hahaha...plenty of malls!
