hi!! i’m an incoming freshman and i’m interested in becoming a dentist but i have no clue about the opportunities that are offered on campus. you’ve mentioned dentistry a lot and i wanted to know how you got involved and if there is anything i’d have to do or start off with. :) i also loved the vlog!

Hello, I am attending Davis as a biological sciences major. Im pretty nervous about the college classes, but excited to start college. So, I was just wondering how difficult the classes are? I’m planning to be a nurse in the future and I know that Davis doesn’t have a nursing program, that is why i chose biology as my major to be on the pre-med track and finish the prereqs I need to be a nurse. Any tips/advice? I’m not a very good test taker but I have the work ethic to study and finish all my work. My SAT is not very good (1030) but my gpa is 4.16. I usually have a hard time understanding the content when teachers teach because I think I’m not in the right mindset or im not focused. Do you have advice/tips that I can do now to help me during my years in college? Also I don’t know how I got into U.C. Davis, I was planning to just go to Fresno or Sac State to do nursing because they have the nursing programs there. However when I visited Davis, I fell in love with the atmosphere, the vibe, and the people. So that’s the main reason I want to go here now, I just feel really intimidated because I feel as if I’m not smart enough or have the right mindset as others do. Thank You so much if you reply! :)

Hi! I think that getting As in classes is totally dependent on the class/professor. The nice thing about some of the STEM classes I've taken is that many of them have curves! So depending on how the class does, your grade could be higher. For student-run clinics, you apply through the clinic's individual application when they start their application cycle! You can check out the specific clinics' website for more information.
